What wheel to use?

First of all, hello to you guys!

My name's Roberto, I'm 22 and I'm from Brazil.

I have to admit that I'm a former xbox gamer, but now that GT academy was announced also coming to Brazil I just borowed a ps3 from a friend and bought a GT6, and I'm having a great time.

But, I'm wondering what wheel should I buy for my trainement to the GTA.
Also, on what configurations do they run?

They use the T500rs Thrustmater wheel bro, don't know about any of the settings tho. I got mine for $650 here in the states

I think that you should combine the T500rs Thrustmaster and the Logitech G27 to be used as one set of wheel and a shifter.

Do you guys know if, in the first phase of GTA (the online rank), am I abble to retry the race as many times as I want? And only one event count, or all of the five ones count time aswell? Thanks alot

Hi. I also am an ex xbox racer. I too came back to GT after a 6yr break. I originally got a thrustmasterT100 but that wheel isn't for the serious racer so after a week of researching I concluded pound for pound the G27 knocked the socks off everything except the t500. But that price is ludicrous. I paid £189 for mine. I've not looked back. You won't go wrong.

It looks like the Australian Academy is using the G27 in the pods.

I went for the DFGT, I use it for both PC and PS3 and am very happy with it.

The next upgrade will be Thrustmaster 500. Eventually...

thurstmasters seems to be really really nice, the problem is that they're much more expensive. Glad to know that they're using G27s in Australia, glad I got mine!

Anything from a Driving Force Pro and up will be just fine. Of course, if you can shell out over$300.00 US, there is always the better option of the G25 or 7....

If you're willing to pay for it, the Thrustmaster T500 RS is very good. If it was the official wheel of GT5, it must be good.

I was willing to shell out the retail $500+ for mine, and I think it was worth it.
