How come is the silver stripeless Ford GT not available via the extra-color glitch in arcade mode like the other ''special color'' cars?
Also, is the F1 car available in arcade mode?

Yeah I was wondering about that too. I have my favorites list organized by all the cars with special colors and the GT just doesn't have one that you can get using that glitch.

Yes, the F1 car is available once you've won it once, from one of the endurance races (I can't remember, I think it's the Nurburgring 24 Hours). You also win it from getting 100% completion, but by then you've already got one. And the color glitch works on that one too.

Basically, there are cars you can win in GT mode in special colors, like the Subaru 360 in a dark blue or the PD Formula GT in carbon fiber black. These cars, even once won, are not normally available in Arcade mode. However, by quickly selecting the car next to one of these cars while pressing the directional button (it takes a few tries), it will select the car you want with the list of paint options of the other car. If the other car has more options than the one you want, you can go past the limit of colors available in arcade mode and select the other paint option.

A really handy glitch especially for the four black beauty cars from the used car lot.

Just figured out how to drive the black Fgt in arcade mode.

1. Put the Fgt and the Plymouth superbird in the favorites section.

2. Go to favorites and place the cursor on the superbird.

3. Extremely quickly place the cursor on the Fgt and choose it. You should see the Superbirds color choices in the Fgt. Now just go all the way left until you see the black Fgt.

The reason is because the stripeless Ford GT is actually a separate car from the normal Ford GT. It isn't a special color on the normal model.

That's why I'm wondering... is there any way to get it in arcade mode?
I think this needs a little more experimentation.
