What's in Your Personal BGM?

Do you use personal BGM?

Just menu music for me too. Currently got Bonobo's Animal Magic and Black Sands playing along with the Bareback Instrumentals by The Rawdog Band. Works well I think.

In race music is too distracting for me and it can be tough to hear when to change up sometimes too so I keep that off.

After hearing personal BGM caused hiccups and micro stutters/freezes, I stopped using it.

Yep. Here's hoping they fix that. Also, annoyingly, I sometimes have to add my music to to the game again each time I start it up otherwise all I get is silence.

It's also a little irritating that the track will change if you go into your garage or GT Auto or whatever, then change again when you come back out of it. Sometimes I'll just sit and listen for a bit even though I'm done there just so a song I like gets more than 10 seconds play time.

It's not without it's problems but regardless of that I still prefer to listen to my own stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with the default menu music. It's part of what makes GT, GT.

I really wish the ps3 could stream music from my laptop while I play games like my 360 can, too much work to move everything to ps3 and then import to game.

@VBR suggested the following (in a post for GT5)

"Do not listen to music in GT5 whilst racing! Having the BGM on not only makes your PS3 work harder (maybe contributing to lag), but it can actually cause you to get disconnected from online rooms, it's a known bug with User BGM. Turn all music down to 0 in the Options menu, including menu music, before attending."

This makes sense to me. Asking a busy system to do less "stuff" can't hurt. My online and offline experiences are great in GT6 which may in part be due to the fact that I have never turned any music on. I don't see frame rate issues and tearing. This may be because I'm not sensitive to such issues and am not looking for them, in which case, ignorance is bliss.

That was before the sound issues right?

I only have one album on my PS3 which I use in GT as it is a pain transferring them between pC and PS3. Anyway, the album is:

Emma Hewitt - Burn The Sky Down

It is my favourite album as it is quite a mellow album but with a few upbeat tracks. Sometimes I do use other albums and then it would be Drum & Bass, Trance, Dance, Dubstep...depends on my mood really

Bgm Only watching the replay... Ost from various anime and movies or heavy metal ..

I don`t use the personal BGM when I`m racing, I only use my personal BGMwhen i`m in the menu (Dealership, GT-Auto etc.)
My personal BGM includes: Paramore, Kaizers Orchestra, Dire Straits, Evanescence, AC/DC, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Helbillies and TP&THB.

My background music consists of Metallica, Excision's Shambhala 2013, and a bunch of Destroid tracks. :3

I use it while racing but have it turned way down. But have it full blast in the menus. :D

I used my own music in GT5, but since it hasn't worked properly in GT6, I just turned off the game's (fairly awful) soundtrack.
