What's the best car magazine out there?

Only reason to buy Top Gear magazine? James May's column. Clarkson's column is a laugh, but you can get it online, anyhow.

It's a much better magazine than it used to be, since they changed editors. Hammond has a good classic drivers cars feature each month now, and the mag is pretty good if you like reading about road trips as they seem to do a lot of those now too.

The only trouble is that people like May and Tom Ford aside, the standard of the writing isn't that high. They had a cracking team of writers back in the late 90s and unsurprisingly most of them jumped ship when the previous, terrible editor came in. And they've never really returned to the same level.
