What is the best Japanese supercar/car that you can you can buy and hype up alot. I rekon it has to be a Skyline or an Evo.

Well I'd classify modern as one's still in production, so as of now i'd say the Imprezza series simply because Jun's made Evo's and Jun's made imprezza's but the Jun Imprezza has been the best so far. As far as overall japanese cars, i'd say the 2000GT, or the ZZII

Is it because it's easier to tune up or because there's more versitility when tuning. I think that the Evo's or the 3000GT would prove more reliable tune up cars.

By modern I just mean no realy old japanese cars like. I just mean cars which are still very popular tune up cars today.

Drag, Road, Rally, anything, really.

Id say either the Evo or the Skyline, and of course, the Honda's

Evo- The New PRUVEN autosports Evo is the fastest evo on earth at something like 11.???@127? MPH dun remember the exact time. Adn it looks completely stock from the outside. So that goes to show how much potental is hidden in that beast.

Skyline- This car is like the standard for japanese performance companies just for its sheer power and torque, and AWD. and you can easily double its HP with a couple of bolt ons.

Honda- Civic, Tegra, and so on. Just because damn, go to any car part site and look. Thee will be more parts for honda's than anythign else. There are so many parts for one of these you will never see 2 of the exact same (unless they were made to look alike)

Hmmmm, didnt notice that lol. Well in that case, Id say the NSX-R, Skyline GTR-34, EVO VIII, And I dunno know if youd consider this as a supercar, but the Silvia S15.

All around performance per dollar? FC3S RX-7 Turbo II. For half the price of a new Evo you can built an FC that will out-accelerate and outhandle 99% of the cars you'll run up against.

To me, a good tuner car is cheap enough to leave enough money for upgrades and repairs/rebuilds. I just can't see dropping 30 large on a car and then violating the warranty on it. The Evo will be a primo tuner car in a few years when they start going out of warranty and they lose half their value. Face it, if you want a car with a lot of potential, then I assume you want to use it - and if you use a car to its fullest potential you're gonna break ****.

Of course my choices doesn't necessarily apply outside of North America. In other parts of the world where R32 GT-Rs and such are four-digit USD cars, it's a different story.

Well you need a car that's gona withstand harsh treatment if your gona tune it, that why I'm not sure if top end Skylines are suitable.

If your gona tune your car you have to realy make the choice if you want to use it for track days and so on or just for on the roads. Then you can allow for repair expenses and such like.

The problem with all the above cars is that, he said SUPERCARS, not dime for a dozen hondas and stuff (no offence to honda owners)

I was also wondering....is the FD3S considered a super car? cuz Ive seen those things smoke almost anything they r put up aginast...

the fd3s is by no means a super car... from the factory that is... But then again i do not consider many japanese super cars ( supercars)... however a correctly tuned fd with two additional rotors or hell even 6 would be a fat ass super car...

hence supercar-ness...
Actually a lot of the cars that people think are super cars arent... the fd is a supercar in the sense that a supra is a super car and an nsx is a super car... its a japanese top of the line sports car...

you like my idea of a 6 or 8 rotor rx7...

I don't know if I would really consider any Japanese cars supercars, maybe that ZZII thing, but I've never seen or heard much of them outside of GT3.

Not that that's a bad thing, cars like the NSX and RX-7 are much better looking than most if not all 'supercars', and much easier to afford and live with.

edit - I'd really like to see an 8 rotor race car of some kind :)

One day... One day we will have 8 rotor 4 wheel drive MId ship cars... and they will be the sweetest... They will not be japanese however... A 12 rotor is the next step lol...
