Evo- The New PRUVEN autosports Evo is the fastest evo on earth at something like 11.???@127? MPH dun remember the exact time. Adn it looks completely stock from the outside. So that goes to show how much potental is hidden in that beast.

Skyline- This car is like the standard for japanese performance companies just for its sheer power and torque, and AWD. and you can easily double its HP with a couple of bolt ons.

You can 4 1/2X the factory hp on a Skyline GTR. It's been done time and time again. Getting over 1,400hp out of a 2.6-2.8 liter engine is awesome.

Basiclly it would matter how deep your pockets are on how far you can go. With simple bolt on's coaxing over 800hp reliably isn't that difficult out of the RB motor and there are so many combinations. Not to mention the amount of aftermarket parts aimed at this machine.

Now for the fastest evo. We have 3 in the 9's here at over 140mph in New Zealand and 5 more in the 10's. 11 second evo's are nothing impressive. The same when you think of the amount of 9 second or quicker GTR's in Japan. The main problems with the EVO, SUB's, Honda's is once you get into the 9 sec bracket they are nothing more than rolling shells and not even streetable anymore.
FD bats are bloody good to. The rotary engine like it or not can produce huge numbers though they are not very reliable to begin with and more so once you start hopping them up.
Supras with their 2JZ motors are another potent weapon. There is an ample supply of aftermarket bits but being rwd once you start getting over 500hp getting it to the ground becomes a mission and then again drivability becomes an issue.

Each car has it's pros and cons. The skyline and supra with its weight to the NSX's n/a short comings. RX with its not so reliable rotary powerplants, EVO's and Subbie's with driveline short comings and engine displacements to over come.

Using only a single power adder IE turbo(s) for the forced induction cars and NOS for the NSX, overall handling packages available off the shelf I would have to go with the Skyline overall and the Supra a very close second.

put a ferrari 360 modena style v8 engine in a 99+ silvia, and put the transmission in front of the rear axle for better balance = supercar!!

I know what I can ask for...A better road racing engine...The fact that no pro racers have used the 2jz-gte for track races in a while tells me something..Id take RB26DETT powered car, or even better a SR22DET powered S14 Silvia painted charcoal with powder coated rims.....OR!!! Anything else but a MKIV :D:D:D

Actually a SR22DET is actually posbably with the jun stroker get for the sr20s, theres a S15 in Western Australia that has it.

why the **** would someone put a ferrari engine in a japanese piece of ****? its perfect where it came from.

Well, I would have to say the 350Z. The fact that it costs around 30 grand isnt going to stop lots of people from modding it. With 287 hp on a naturally aspirated engine, a low drag coefficient (.30), and rear wheel drive, how could you not mod it...

I dno't remember if I posted on this or not, but I have to agree the 350Z is probably the best "Modern" japanese car simply because the numbers it puts out the strength of the engine, the dyamics of the engine and it's potential, not to mention the fact that even people with the great RB Series engines are swapping for the 35DE's..
As far as OVERALL...I'd probably say according to "class"
The skyline/NSX, the Rx-7, the MR2, and probably a scooby and an evo in there somewhere.
