Infact I hate the Special Stage 11 track. Ahh i gets on my nerves so much! 10 laps or more of racing! It's so long too!
SS11 is awesome once you get the hang of it. The AI usually doesn't know how to drive this track (witness all the walls and mistakes the computer cars make) which gives you a chance to slip by them as they blunder.
You just gotta know how to approach & leave hairpin turns. Brake in....turn without hitting the inside of the corner, then start to hit the gas gradually as you leave the turn. At the same time, let your steering go slowly. Don't just floor the gas and straighten out your steering...you'll wind up hitting a wall and losing time like the AI.
Soft limited-slip tuning helps a lot for front and rear-drive cars but can actually hurt 4-wheel drives (which wind up understeering with even light LSD tuning).
.Once you get it right, you'll find your car is constantly getting a better launch out of those corners than the AI cars. The only problem then, is to make sure you're not smacking into their bumpers. It's tricky, but also very possible because I've done it lots of times. 👍
