HKS were doing engine dynoing on a new combination for thier R33 GTR. The engine from what I can remember was using titanium con rods which snapped when they hit 55 lbs of boost and the engine made just over 1,606hp on the engine dyno. They never got a running one down the strip that I know of but I would venture to say the current R33 GTR drag car is over 1,400hp.

its amazing that these companies spend more money testing ideas than I make in a year......I'd be happy with 600 hp.....or a stock skyline for that matter....

ok true, the R33 and R34 look very sweet indeed. don't like the front of the 33 _that_ much, since it looks too normal. and the back of the 33 would look good on the 34, but they are japans best. the datsun 240z was also nice. but byenlarge, i wouldn't rate the japanese as having 'good taste' in cars.

and yeah i would be extremely happy with a stock skyline let alone a 600bhp car!!!
