squeakDWow..., you can't be serious. Do you play ANYTHING other than GT-5? Do you play any other title that has REAL leaderboards? When you've got as many people competing as we have in this GT Academy.., a few mere tenths of a second can give you a major jump on the leader boards.
Yes.., the good drivers will always be on top (even without the corner cutting). However their "so called" excellent skills would be put to a serious test if they WERE NOT ALLOWED to use track exploits. I've downloaded ghosts from the top drivers and in many instances managed to stay WITH THEM on some spots.., but when they used an exploit the advantage they got from the exploit was pretty significant.
The problem is there are A LOT of good drivers out there who don't get to see top spots because they REFUSE to exploit. So what.., you going to tell everyone who PLAYS BY THE FREAKIN RULES to quit whining and complaining.
ARE YOU USING SOME OF THESE TRACK EXPLOITS YOURSELF?????
Sorry, but that's a sad excuse to justify exploits. Using the kerbs to lock a turn is one thing.., but there is flat out track cutting going on. If you condone that then shame on you. These so called "top players" wouldn't be in those positions if they weren't "exploiting" aspects of the game.
Just because there's an exploit that allows you to (in some cases) essentially have ALL four wheels off the track doesn't mean you're in the right using it. Cheating is cheating..., PLAIN AND SIMPLE. It's up to PD to see to it that events are run fairly.
Just because the exploit is there doesn't mean I'm going to use it. Heaven forbid someone actually want to get on the leaderboards top slots by an HONEST lap that doesn't require an exploit. Shame on anyone I guess for looking for "fairness" in this competition.
SchwartzNo way. It's an excuse to say that those people are the best because of the "exploit." And besides, you don't decide what cheating is. The game does. What those people are doing is simply using the game's rules to their advantage. It's not cheating if the game allows you to do it. I don't know how many times I have to say it.
