I love West City, when I was fresh into GT, I went there to buy the 406 and get the racing mod for it. Looked so cool, and I loved the Espace F1. Great fun on Midfield.👍

I'm racing the Espace in the World Cup now. Up against the

Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca
Ford GT40
Venturi Atlantique LM
Jag XJ220
Alfa Romeo 155 TC

When you go over a bump or one of those curbs, the Espace sounds like an angry cat. rrrrrrrOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!

Amazing. I won at Trial Mountain! I got lucky. Passed the entire field except the Jag down the hill after that first tunnel. I don't know how I did it, but damn, I'm glad I won here--this is the toughest race in the GTWC by far.

Again, I got lucky at Laguna Seca. The Viper apparently tried to spin me going down the corkscrew (I got to witness this in the replay), but I already had my racing path stable so all he could do was push into me...then he wound up spinning! Ha ha :D

Another win at Apricot. Does a cow moo? Passed the Alfa in turns 1 & 2 (no brainer) and managed to pass the next three cars out of turn 7 (the hairpin) There's nothing like getting a clean line and powering out of that hairpin while the other cars are recovering from understeer! Then in Lap 2, the Espace got ahead of the Viper in turns 3, 4, and 5 (the esses, sort of). He caught me in turn 6 (long 180°) but followed too close and his downforce was ruined...he was in the grass.

Lost at Rome. That's okay. :) I got the championship clinched because I came in 2nd. Just couldn't pass the Viper...every time I caught it, I'd be just before a corner and lose all my downforce. :(

But I won at Midfield. Passed the Viper in lap 2. I tried the World Cup awhile back and the Saleen Mustang clobbered me in 3 out of the 5 races...glad it wasn't here this time.

North City.

About Espace, you should try with normal tire and see how slow the opponent pass the corner before first tunnel, maybe at 110mph, where we can pass it with 130mph :D.

Normal tires on an Espace in the World Cup? I think you've seriously lost your mind my friend. I know a doctor who's got a good reputation, perhaps you can consult with him.

I am serious :) . even if you race clean, win still very easy, some example why you should really try normal tire:

Just for reminder, I drive a bit clumsy here, busy with pressing look behind and print screen......

Passing everyone after the first tunnel

GT One pass me easily on straight, but ........

I pass it easily on corner, less grip (untuned) and chickening AI :).

Eh bro, I gotta hand it to you...I have no idea how you did it. I got Super Soft tires up front and soft in the back and though I won the race..it was no picnic. Anyhow, good job.

I am sure you can do it too, my skill is worse and I only tune the car lightly (no drag height, no tranny trick, no TCS). For me, beating World Cup with normal tire is easier than super soft tire. The AI is too afraid to go fast in corner.

:) Okay. Apparently your skill is better than mine! I'm telling you....I'm going as fast as I can in those races...at Trail Mountain my Espace was barely on the last shreds of tire grip...any faster and I would be making the walls my friend, get what I'm saying? :)

You must be touched by the GT god or something. I can use normal tires on an Oreca Viper or del Sol LM, but not on a Espace.

maybe it cause by setting?
I tune all my car to the least restrictive set up now.

This is what I use to beat WC Trial Mountain , espace normal tire
Spring Rate: 20.0 / 12.0
Ride Height: 85 / 85
Damper Bound: 10 / 10
Damper Rebound: 10 / 10
Camber: 0.0 / 0.0
Toe: 0.00 / 0.00
Stabilizer: 1 / 1
Gear: Auto 16 at 5.500
Downforce: 0.52 / 0.85
LSD : 1 / 1 / 1

A bit jumpy but stick well

You know me...I like a bit of camber and a softer setup at Trail Mountain. At Apricot & Midfield I set my springs & dampers up a lot stiffer.

Man where the hell is everyone? Summer sure slows down these forums, huh?

I see.

yeah, vacation?

Don't you miss being a kid and having 3 months to do whatever you wanted? I'm actually jealous of my 10 year old nephew. I got a vacation coming up, but it'll only be for one week and that's not till the end of July. :( I like being a mechanic but I hate working all the time!

Yeah, less time playing GT2 too now ......

I think if I had more free time I wouldn't be doing so much videogaming. I game a lot because it fits conveniently when you have 1 or 2 hours of free time between getting off work and sleep/dinner/gf. Ah, look I'm hijacking now!

When I was a kid they didn't have video games, well not like the GT series anyway.

Hey we didn't have videogames till I was 13 or 14. Tell you the truth I'm glad they didn't have them when I was a kid...I was clueless enough as it was.

So far as teh kid/parent scenario: Heh heh...doctor took care of that for me.! snip snip. No kids :) I'd be a pretty cool dad in some ways but in others (discipline) I'd be horrible. We'll never know.

Yeah I agree with you again... Besides I was out playing in the fresh air, well pouring rain in this country... Not like kids today, blah, blah, blah...

Ahh man, sorry I brought it up, so to speak...

Funny i never even noticed the car city music..i think cuz i always turn it down.

I turn the music off myself, just have the sound effects during races. But none of the city music really appeals to me...

Yes, it is a touchy*subject, isn't it. :ouch:

That's my whole discourse: when I was a kid I had a frickin bike, various toys, and a pack of friends and I could roam wherever the hell I wanted, and that's pretty much what I did! No chile molestors....no internet, child abuse was not even a concept. Bla bla bla. I've got a sims game I wanna give to my niece, but I'm reluctant to get her addicted! Her brother is already a slave to the PS2 :( kinda my fault, too.

See, I like the menu music in GT1...and the sound effects are gentler unlike GT2 & 3 *BOP* *BOP* *BOP* *BEEP*

Ugh...gotta headache just thinking aobut them. At least in GT3 you can turn ALL of it off! My GT3 game is completely silent till I start racing! :D

Careful, you'll get yourself a name as a child corrupter if you continue in that manner!!!
