how about Nismo GTR LM Road Car R33? it's an FR too

I wish there are more FR skyline (no R34 converted to FR?)

There are some R32 used Sklines I really dig. I haven't raced a lot of them, but I'm usually impressed by them. I'm writing a R34 review, btw (finally). I drove one a few weeks ago in the GT Regionals, never realized how amazing they are. They live up to the hype

Truthfully, this is a difficult question to answer. I like alot of the manufacturers for different reasons and I feel like picking one is just like picking my favorite color. It seems kind of arbitrary. So, I think asking what do you like about some of your favorite manufacturers is more useful.

Chevy- for the Corvettes and early beautiful curves.:sly:

Honda for reliability and street cars.

Toyota for the GT-One::bowdown: tup: and a good variety of used cars.

Nissan for Skylines and their many different forms and the 2000gt.

Ford for The GT40 and Mustangs:cool: .

Jaguar for it's special cars:cool:

Dodge for Vipers, Challengers and Chargers.

Plymouth for the old cars.

Suzuki for its crossover cheating rally cars.:D

Me too, -Batman-. I just started doing Event Generator races a couple weeks ago and i've been putting 400-500 hp 'cudas, Corvettes, and Cougars in. When you put a car with this much power in the race, the computer responds with an assortment of Skylines, 3000 GTs, and other cars that should kick my a$$ but usually i can still win against them...depending on what track we wind up racing on.

You know, I have never done an event generator race. How do you get to race one of those?💡 :boggled:

Thats funny! I had a Schwinn once. I bought it used for 25$:guilty: at a garage sale and it was one of the smoothest rides I have ever had despite it only having the bottom 4 gears of the original ten.:sly:

Get all the licenses (B thru I-A). This will open up a new license area...the S license. Win the World cup. This will open up a 4th "page" (you'll see an arrow up in the top-right corner of the World Cup page. Once you have your S license, you can do Event Gen races. They are unfortunately only 2-lap sprints, but the racing involved can open up more possibilities since the computer puts you up against a greater variety of cars, as well as reversed tracks. Sometimes, the races are damn near impossible to win (Barracuda against a modern Mine's Skyline!).

In my opinion, the Event generator is better than that lame "hi-res mode" in GT1 in which you do a frickin drive around 3 tracks by yourself. (boring) It's one feature that seperates GT2 from the others.

Honda!

Since I own two Honda vehicles.
Plus, they build their cars like LEGO's, so they're relatively easy to work on by myself. Saves me lots of money 👍

Additionally, there is plenty of aftermarket support and performance potential for Honda's, without having to spend gobs of cash. (In GT2 and Real-Life)

thank god for search, i was gona make this topic lol

Ford baby

You should make a poll of your own..I'll vote! I'm always thinking of polls I could make but I rarely post them, because I know they'll die a quick death--some of them: what car would you buy mom for mother's day?,also had one poll about how often you view replays, and a few I'm forgetting.

I'm surprised this one has lasted so long, actually. apparently a lot of folks like voting on the city thing.

Though I tend to like manufacturers such as Nissan, Toyota and Chevrolet, my favourite manufacturer for this game is Renault (the only vote at time of write), mainly because, being a conservative European firm, they would mainly (in stereotype) build cute little hatchbacks with diesel engines not available in the U.S. But, they compete in F1 and created a 194mph (194 in real life, out of box speed is 203mph in game)... MINIVAN! I have seen the Renault Espace in life before, and since then I had rooted for l'Auto D'Or. May minivans gain newfound popularity!

I'm kind of surprised nobody else voted for Lotus, on the fact that the Elise can take out cars with twice the power on sheer handling.

for me, my fave is Mitsubishi, because i am a Lan-Evo fan..,

i like the Lancer Evos very much.., not only do they look cool but they possess superior cornering abilities.., they literally "eat up" any corner you throw at them.., and they are fairly easy to drive.., very good performance..,👍:sly:

Second is Honda, because i am a fan of Type R..,

the Type Rs of Honda also corner excellently, especially the Civics, except for the Spoon Civic.., it creates understeer that is perfect for drifting.., love those Type Rs.., Type R rules!!!

and i like many other cars, for example the Castrol Tom's Supra.., i made lap times with the Pennzoil GT-R and the Castrol Tom's Supra on Midfield Raceway. to the extent of my GT2 skills, i was able to make a lap under 1 minute with the Supra but was unable with the Skyline. the Supra has better cornering because it is FR, hence the Skyline is 4WD.., i was able to trail-brake into the corners better with the Supra..,

but i do like a certain Skyline.., the Silhouetee Formula R30.., really love that one..,:)

and another one.., the Toyota Sprinter Trueno.., great for drifting..,👍

so to put it all together:

1st fave: Mitsubishi
2nd: Honda
3rd: Toyota
4th: Nissan

i agree with you, especially the Honda Type R cars, some are tuned by Spoon.

Type R rules!!! :)👍

you ask why nobody voted for Lotus.., sure, Lotus cars are "small but terrible", do not dare underestimate a Lotus Elise, for it is a supercar :)

because the Lotus Elises in GT2 are very hard, no wait, unpredictable, to drive.., they corner like hell but they also spin like hell if you drive them on a track that has a long bank corner (like Autumn Ring and Test Course, you can not make a "neat" lap time)

i was disappointed at the performance of the Elises in GT2, i also like those cute cars..,

I really loved the "bathtub" Lotus Elans! Those old cars. Had so much fun driving those around Tahiti Road and Autumn Ring.

Test Course...well, I never drove it there, as the only race there was for cars with WAY more power than what an Elise will give you. And on Autumn Ring and Red Rock Valley, all you need to do is lower the spring rate to make the car more stable. Unless you're REALLY good at countertsteering.

Isn't car like Elises what make GT2 funs :D? I hate it, but I must win with it .

From a manufacturers that have the same ill handling car as Lotus Elises, can anyone named a car from Tommy Kaira that you like?

well, try it.., especially the Elise GT1, on Test Course.., you will see what i mean..,

the Elise is not for beginners, that is what i mean..,

yeah, i agree with you.., the Elise provides a tough challenge..,

the ZZ cars are not that ill-handling.., IMO they are more stable than the Elises.., i like to drive any ZZ than the Elises..,

the only good MR cars in the game IMO are the Toyota MR2, MR-S and the Acura NSX..,

Yes, we have a good time comparing car setting in Elise GT1 in setup vs setup last year :).

It's interesting that both manufacturer have car with the same spec:
184hp/1477lb ZZ III vs 184hp/1477lb Elise 190

both rev at 8000rpm max too.

I wonder which one faster :).

Toyota GT-One not included?

as for as road cars go...Dodge all the way. vipers rule.

race cars....toyota baby. castrol supra and the ts020
