Hey guys and girls, I am a rotary enthusiast/lover, I am a big fan of rotaries in general.

I decided to make this thread for all the rotary enthusiast's to share there:

-Rotor Ride.

-Cars they have seen. (Rotor).

-General rotary talk.

-Engine swaps accepted.
I will start it off:

This is a mates Rx7-RS'97

They have spent over 70,000 dollar's on it, sounds beast and is real clean.

Blingin'.

Actually I'm a big fan of 2-stroke engines so I understand if you have a passion for something not so usual.

Cheers, Gotta share the love, people don't like them and hear endless rumor about this type of car, mostly because these car's are pretty much the 2-stoke of the car world, they are made to be thrashed to a limit.

My faves in no set order:

Production:

Pretty much any NSU (Prinz, Prinz Sport, Spyder and Ro80 even though they really never nailed the rotor tip wear issues)

Citroen GS Birotor

Mazda RX-7 SA

Non-production:

Mazda 787B

Mazda Furai (I really hope they build another of these for posterity)

I never once thought 2 strokes were unusual

I quite like rotaries, but my brother is a pretty massive enthusiast of rotaries, most of his project cars/fun cars have been rotaries. :D

At the moment he has a B1600 rotary, which makes it essentially a REPU now, and an 808 RX3.

From memory, he's had a Starlet, E70 Corolla, 626 and probably some others I'm forgetting.

Strictly speaking, this isn't an authentic rotary, but it's still one of my favourite rotary engined rides. :sly:

Seeing as @RocZX already posted what I wanted to post (RX3), I'm going with an oddball because it might go unnoticed in this thread:

It was an absolute breaktgrough, quite probably the most technologically advanced and futuristic-looking car of it's time. It looks like a early 80s Peugeot? Maybe, but you're seeing a 1967 model in the image. Yes, Sixty seven. It was an amazing roadcar whenever the rotary engine worked, because they died within about 10k miles. Yes, ten thousand.

I do think the RX8 has aged well. It was arguably ugly when it was released, but amongst modern cars it's quite a striking looking car. I think they were 5 years too early is all. The most refined of the NA rotary engines in a car that can do more than be just a weekend hoonmobile gets it my vote.

I'm hoping to get one in the near future, hopefully a series 2.
