What's your reaction time?

Internet speed doesn't play a part in it as the software used is all client-side. However, having a dodgy left mouse button can make a huge difference.

Yeah. The program can detect your click. The biggest influence would be the difference in the time it takes for you to start the click and when the computer actually registers it.

Best: .176
Average: .199

This is fun. I don't have the time right now, so I'm gonna try again later. :)

You know how I know I've gotten old? First of all, my score tonight:

Best - .22
Average - .24

Secondly, I don't remember ever taking this test. :dopey:

Edit: Oh my god, myself from 2006 rubbing it in, in the other posts I didn't see:
OK, I can't top this one: My best average(for good), .143

I am done!

I used to excel at 100 meters too........ then I got old. :D
I'll kick your ass, a6m5 from 2006!

Mine is 0.329 average. After a number of tries i've managed to get some around 0.25 but the average still remains above 0.3 which is considered very slow.

I think there is something else at play. I know my reaction speed isn't great but I wouldn't say it's that far below average. Does it take the time from the start of your click, or when you release the mouse button?

.238
.26
.261
.234
.221

Average .242.

Not bad for a second attempt. The first time, I tried to preempt the changes and got a one second penalty. I think I could possibly do it faster with a regular mouse. My Laptop's mouse buttons are a quite stiff and are far more resistant than that of a normal mouse.

I instantly clicked on this post when I read the title, wanting to post "BRUCE LEE" in font size 7, until I saw the first post that is... :dunce:

.197 is pretty good. I did it a few times and they were mostly between .2 and .25, just average. One time I just sat there and stared at the yellow like derp...oh yeah, click.

Did it again for randoms.

Average of .202
Max of .213
Min of .193

Pretty consistent.

Edit: 2nd time got a best of .055.
Was just lucky I guess.

Average after my second try: 0.208

It's incredible, only two days ago I wanted to find something like this for CoD:MW3 related issues.

EDIT: Now 0.196
EDIT: 0.179

The first time I tried, I got an average of 0.304.
I found it a bit slow, so I tried again, and got a 0.272.
I tried twice more, and I got a 0.263 on my last try.
Erm, not bad for me, as I gained a reputation among the people who I know for being slow.

I'll keep trying...

I got .301 but that was using a mouse that has a really poor input speed, around 50 ms :indiff: .
Average is 0.251. Not too bad. Though it may depend on how good your mouse is...
This is true. If you have a mouse with a relatively quick input response (gaming mouse for example), then take away 1-10ms for your true reaction time. Otherwise take away more for more rubbish mouse.

Averaged 0.249... I am the same as I was a year ago... But last year I had mostly really quick ones (0.1 or less) or really slow (0.3), but this time it's just consistent 0.25's.

0.256 Average. Not that pleased with this, I like to think I have quick reactions as when I'm racing I can catch almost any snap oversteer, however I really can't do well at tests like this, possibly its something about being able to predict what will happen?

You're right. When racing, you are pushing the car or kart to the limit, so you're already in quite an attentive state. You're focusing much more than normal, so when the vehicle shows oversteer, you're ready to correct it. When you're doing the reaction test, you're not really as attentive because it's only a split moment that you actually have to do anything.
