Quick chop with some gold wheels.

Step 1: Paint your Celica white

Step 2: Paint your rims white

Step 3: Add mudflaps

Step 4: Profit???

Seriously though, I love them rims in the first post. Always had a thing for white on white because it always reminds me of rally cars for some reason.

On that, go for black.

Oooops I didn't read the part where you only wanted 'shops on the colour, oh well I've done it now.

Sold 👍

GT-Fours existance is rally, so it looks so.... "right"

I'm currently sitting on about 95% that I'll be going with super black coat, with black lug nuts. Looking at the shots with the white wheels put me off white! And I don't like the flat or gloss black either, so that super black coat is the winner really.

Edit: Haha on second look I actually don't mind the white... I'll try my own shop tonight of the sp1s in white or super black but I suck so if anyone wants to beat me to it it'd be much appreciated!

Thanks to all those who have put together their suggestions and shops so far it's really cool :)

UPDATE:

Alright now don't laugh at my awesome 'shopping abilities, but here are my 2 efforts, white vs super black

Antiques have differently painted wheel sets as well. the old versions either had a "self" color (the same as on the car) or a pale yellow. i'd say, tick with the plain black...but not the gloss.

I'd rock those Tom's wheels on my AW11. They're probably not 4x100 though.

I'd go with bronze TRD T3 5 spokes for the celica.

Seconded.

They might look bland at a first glance, but the subtle elegance is perfect for your car. Wash, polish and take pics on any mountain road nearby your place, car magazine worthy.

Or get the black ones, when I'm at traffic I always try to avoid guys driving cars that sport shiny colored wheels, they're usually.... not very fond of their cars.... Black coated rims will give a sportier appearance without looking overstated.

I'm a discrete man, just my thoughts.

mabey i should take notes on the specs punknoodle gave (knowing toyo, the specs and spacing are opposite up here) the 185's are a personal favorite. too bad I've only ever seen one in my lifetime

Punknoodle: it looked like a Hilux? lol don't break a weld like I did (twice, on a Surf!)

time attack/Dan: i dunno...doesn't look like Bronze to me, looks like the titanium coating I've seen on drill bits.

At least with the surf you get a strong gearbox. My friend has a Hilux, the 2.8 non turbo ute, which has since been fitted with a turbo from a surf. For some reason they made the Hilux gearbox weaker than the surf's (even though it had a bigger engine), and the stronger gearboxes don't mate up to the 2.8 without a bit of surgery. Hence, after running the turbo and 33" tires, the Hilux has gone through FIVE gearboxes!

crap, man! that's the one thing I never had any trouble with was the tranny (even if it was the auto). but when I went to go have it aligned to ease up some weird wear and save the halfshafts for the front, they musta used the settings for a newer version of the platform. they ended up castering the wheels out on the bottom, and the tension broke the weld on the rear axle (and took my brake line with it!) thank God i was allready in front of the Toyota dealership.

The only decent suggestions so far are the ones Time_Attack suggested and the white OZ rally style wheels. Quit looking at the tacky chromed crap with split rims, regardless of what colour the centres are painted.

It's a rally car, it needs rally wheels. You'll be doing yourself a disservice fitting chintzy poseur wheels to it. White would work fine on a maroon car, but if you weren't wanting to stand out that much then a dark grey or gunmetal finish would still work well.

Have to re do this text as my iPhone mucked it up, didn't send the message properly!

Anyway as I was saying, thanks for your opinion but I don't agree. Just because it has a rally background doesn't mean you have to stick rally wheels on it.

For instance, look at the Sti or Evo. Obviously also a car bred from rally, however there are countless examples with track set ups and wheels.

One of the reasons I bought my car was because of how it looks, the curves, the shape. And I am more interested in circuit racing than rally. The SSR rims look more like a track wheel, infact a google search shows the rims on some rather delicious track machines, and I think the two combined will be great, a mixture of two styles I love.

I suppose that's the great thing about being individual, everyone has their own tastes.

Don't get me wrong, I like the fact my car has rally history and I try to appreciate it for what it is, however because I will never rally my car then surely putting rally wheels on it is being a poser?

EDIT:

Ok, I did what you wanted... I can't believe it took me so long to find SSRs in dead-on profile. I reckon bronze would look sweet.

See?? That looks sweet! Cheers man. Just coz it has rally history doesn't mean it can't look great on tough rims like that! Google image search 185 track cars, you'll see :)

P.S. That lip extension you added looks great, at some stage I'll be swapping to a group a front bumper (has room for intercooler) which is a little lower so have no fear :)

Holy thread revival Batman. I found this thread again via Google as I tried to look for examples of some different colour combos.

So, just to fill in this thread, I DID end up getting the Super Black Coat wheels and it looked pretty damn sweet!

Had them for a few years, loved them, but I've started turning the car in to a stripped out track car, and decided I wanted something lighter, simpler and cheaper. So I sold them, still in mint condition and I'm getting some good old Enkei RPF1s that I won't need to be so precious about.

Two colours to choose from, without coating of course. Plain silver, or matte black. Not really open to the idea of sending them off to get coated, as these are just going to be used to drive to the track, race around and deal with all sorts of abuse and drive home again. It would defeat some of the reasoning of swapping from those beautiful SSRs. But, as we all know, race car rule number one is: It must look bad ass.

So, on that note, which of these two options looks the best for a GT-Four race car?

I couldn't do a matte finish in Forza Horizon 3 but you get the idea. (Side note, how easy is it to not have to photoshop this?)

Look forward to your thoughts again!

I love how the price is cut off in that picture.

Anyway, my vote goes to the silver. Just seems more of a natural fit on a maroon car.

If $500,000 per wheel isn't expensive, sure.

EDIOT: Forgot first rule of googling something, don't rely on first link for accurate information.

I think a dark gold or bronze would look good on a maroon car. One of my cars in GT6, a Subaru Legacy has that colour choice and I think it looks quite nice.
