First... Good point eric.

Second... lol nice si dude! I went to look at it in your sig and saw I had first reply in the thread nearly 3 years ago (not having any clue Id be driving one now).

Finally... Im still open to suggestions so more brand mentions are welcome!

Btw incase you havent found out first hand yet... Stock max mph is 132.

How about Star Specs. They're pretty much as wide as they come.

And again, he's not slammed down to his bumpstops on cheap coilovers, he's at the stock ride height with 5" of fender gap. 17x9s will look retarded.
17x7 aftermarket wheels will look more retarded.

Again, like I said earlier, this is why I recommended those 17x8.25.

Any 17x8 will do, just not 17x7.

I fail to see the logic here, the stock wheels dont look retarded (spoke pat isnt very pretty). But in no way is stock size stupid looking. With after market in stock size it would look no different from behind and better from the side. Id have to say the only time Id look retarded is when the rubber wears out early and Im paying the price from my wallet, or maybe when other owners say nice wheels you got with those supa-hot all season tires.

Actually no, nothing will make it look bad as long as Im happy with what I paid for in full with my own hard earned money. :)
That said... Any other brands I should check?

17x7 +42. Exactly what you're looking for. They come in a few different colors, and the Challenge version is the one with the pinstripes.

I has an idea.

RX-8 wheels. Yes, they're 18s. Yes, you'd need tires. Yes, they'd fit like stock. Keep your all-seasons on your stock wheels, run them for a good few winters (then buy proper snows obviously), and have a nice set of summers on some nice OEM strength 18s. Your car will become Charlie Sheen; all it will do is win.

Yeah...enjoy paying those prices for 18" tires. Looking at around 50% more per tire.

Kent, just sign up on 8thCivic and go looking at pictures until you find wheels you like. I think some sort of suspension, be it lowering springs or coilovers, would make the car look better than just putting wheels on it.

+1 👍

And it would FEEL a lot better too. But hey, sorry back to wheels. I think these rims look pretty good, and would suit your car / colour:

Nice post pukenoodle.
Those sparcos would great on my dyno blue pearl sedan. Makes me wonder if they sell through any shops in my area. Wonder what they cost... Anyone know if they are trust worthy?

Sparco makes good quality stuff, though their specialty is safety equipment. Surely you've heard of Sparco as a supplier for seats, harnesses, steering wheels, racing apparel, etc for top-level race teams around the world.

Add those Buddy Club wheels I posted onto your list. It's a Japanese company that also make high level racing parts and their wheels are popular for Hondas, especially.

Haha cheers for that ;)

Anyway Sparco are a good brand, however as Keef said they aren't known for rims so much, I haven't heard much about their rims, don't know if they are heavy or what but they are fairly cheap compared to some more well known brands, that's not necessarily a sign of poorer quality but can be a sign of a heavy wheel (high unsprung weight is your enemy).

Indeed Im apprehensive to purchase from sparco... Right now oz looks like a good contender as well as advan.

Lol, just got on the oz site and guess what... Sparco wheels are made by oz and sold by oz! That puts some of my concern to rest.

Interesting, good to know. They will be a good quality wheel then, but to keep the prices down (considerably cheaper than the O.Zs) they may be using heavier metals, just be aware of that, look for weights of the rims, lighter the better obviously.

Sparco and OZ both are just average when it comes to weight. Actually, the best wheels for light weight come almost exclusively from Japanese companies. And of those, the Enkei RPF1 is one of the lightest and by far the least expensive.

Sparco and OZ usually make very durable wheels, however. And in day to day, non performance related business, that's just as important.

Down to either the oz superturismo or the enkei ekm3? Any cmments?

Buddy Club P1. Lighter, and Japanese. They race Civics in Japan, and they also put Buddy Club wheels on them...

I have something euro and very rare for sale. 3 piece Tramont Axia, 8x17 ET55 5x114.3 70mm CB. Probably NSX fitment, reasonably light (haven't weighed them). They are going on refurbishment now, will sell easier that way.

One of maybe 4 sets I saw online on random NSX

Should have my EKM3s on the car by week's end. Managed to spend very little money and shouldnt have any tpms problems. I will try to post pics when all is done and the car has been washed.

Re-using with the new hardware/reset kit they sell. Tire rack garunteed me it would work but if not I may buy new ones.
Next challenge will be selling the stock wheels (will be very cheap Im sure).

The ekm3 seems like a good cheap wheel in a style I like and from a manufacturer Ive seen around for a while.

At tire shop now waiting on install.

Got sushi while I waited, wheels mounted balanced, ang look great.
