when do we get GT academy rewards

When i read in the FAQ on the official gran turismo site, it said even if you didn't make it into the next round, people who participated would get a PSN code for playstation 3 exclusive GT5 themes and/or a GT5 racing suit for your playstation home avatar. When will we know to get the PSN code or the free GT5 uniform for the avatar since round 1 is closed? thanks for any info

The theme is most likely the one they gave out for buying that razor. It's nothing special and I don't understand why it was considered to be a dynamic theme when all it did was change pictures 4 times and had lame fog effect haha. Does anyone even use Playstation home? I am just curious about that. To bad they don't give you codes for new cars and such.

Anyone else find it strange/disappointing that PD or the GT-A organizers have shown zero activity or acknowledgement since Round 1 has ended? No news, blogs posts, facebook posts, in-game messages. No recognition to those who moved on to round two. They havent even officially posted that Round 1 has ended (on their website or in the game). I ATLEAST was expecting maybe like an in-game pop-up message that said something like "Congradulations! You have successfully qualified for Round 2!"

A quote from the rules:

Round 1 Prizes (512 Prizes):
The top 128 contestants from each of the four Regions at the end of Round 1 will receive a Gran Turismo® download voucher code for download and play on the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system. Approximate retail value, $39.99. Round 1 Winners will be announced by January 30, 2011.

So I would expect results to be announced near the end of the week based on this explicit statement. I did not come across any specific dates but it is pretty safe to assume near the end of the week you will receive some correspondence, or just log in on the 31st

I dont even have a PSP. How about giving away something they know everyone that entered can use. Also that is no longer the retail value either. Its $19.95 pretty much everywhere now. Dont get me wrong that would be ok if i had a PSP but i dont and im sure allot of the other players dont either so what good is it to us. I think its a scam to get more people to buy PSP's.

Well, they are announcing the PSP2 soon ...maybe some people will buy that and use the PSP voucher to play on the PSP2.

Or sell the voucher via ebay.

That is what I originally thought too, because the language of the contest left that open to interpretation. But the only announced one price. I figured that we'd get cars/some other exclusive that would show we participated.

I still haven't seen any voucher/DL regarding this yet. I have looked in "Home" and nothing popped up even after I went to "Central Plaza." Haven't seen anything come through on the PSN network either....

Has anybody received any DLC on this yet? I have the red driving suit that is available through "Home" but not a GT Academy suit.. Maybe when the new update hits?

Don't think the number of downloads means anything to PD/Sony - it is still just one file they have to create and post. A theme or even a car would be a tiny file size and there would be little to no strain on the PSN network.

Copy that. I was thinking more along the lines of "we want people to buy it rather than use it as a giveaway." But word I hear ya, once the file is created it's an easy DL process for them to setup.
