If the Kings rule, why aren't they in the Finals?
No team, but the championship team, rules.
Amen, brother.👍

The Kings aren't in the finals because..... hmmm... damn you got me But they're still my favourite team. A true fan stands behind his team at all times, good or bad!
Exactly. 👍 Run and gun type offense does not work in the playoffs. Good defensive teams will almost always slow your offense down, make you play at their pace. I learned this, while watching my Blazer get killed by the Lakers just about every year. However, if anyone could beat the odds, I thought it might be the Suns....... then Joe Johnson, their third best scorer went down. I'm just waiting for the Spurs - Pistons NBA Finals now.Saleen ManLike people have been saying all year about the Suns, outscoring your opponents stops working once you get to the playoffs. It got them this far, but they played the Grizzlies and the Mavericks, neither of which can stop anyone.
What's kind of amazing about the Spurs, is that while they obviously excel in a halfcourt slower paced game, where they can run their offense and shut down the opposing team's offense, is that in the first 2 games they've shown that they can also play with the Suns in a fast paced, high scoring affair too. I hate the Spurs by the way. 👎 I was really hoping that Phoenix could pull it off, but they dug themselves a big hole now.a6m5Exactly. 👍 Run and gun type offense does not work in the playoffs. I think this is really starting to hurt Phoenix. Everytime Nash comes out of the game, it's Leandro Barbosa running the point, and their offense just seems lost. Joe Johnson was playing back-up point guard to Nash, so when he went out, they were still fine. He can run an offense, he can create his own points, and he's also one of their best 1-on-1 defenders. It's also really shortened their bench not having him. He's expected to play in Saturday's game, it'll be interesting to see what kind of impact he has.a6m5However, if anyone could beat the odds, I thought it might be the Suns....... then Joe Johnson, their third best scorer went down.
Yeah, it kinda scares me a little though. With Ginobili and Parker, I know they can play uptempo, but I was hoping the Spurs would kill the Suns with their grinding defense. I just hope they don't lose their way, but whatever works, I guess.Saleen ManWhat's kind of amazing about the Spurs, is that while they obviously excel in a halfcourt slower paced game, where they can run their offense and shut down the opposing team's offense, is that in the first 2 games they've shown that they can also play with the Suns in a fast paced, high scoring affair too.
At the begining of the series, I was thinking around 60% chance of Spurs winning the series. After taking the first two games.... on the road! it's looking really good for the San Anton.Saleen ManI hate the Spurs by the way. 👎 I was really hoping that Phoenix could pull it off, but they dug themselves a big hole now.
I know! I call it soccer to get you guys going. When I'm talking to an American about NFL(American Football), I pretend that I thought he was talking about the football(soccer), just to get him worked up. Yeah, it's kinda twisted.DQuaNI just saw the thread title. There is a fairly good Premiership team called Tottenham Hotspur, or Spurs for short.
And it's called football by the way.
It's called that because you use your foot to kick the ball
Yeah, I was.a6m5I'm sorry to hear about your granddad. My grand father passed away, just couple years ago. He was sooo cool to me.
P.S. You are talking about Spurs, the soccer team too. Aren't you!
Yeah, I was absolutely ........ upset about the last few minutes of play, but I am an NBA fan, so I'm used to inconsitency in the officiating and I didn't say anything because it's just the way it goes in the last minutes of the game.Saleen ManThe Suns played a good game all around, and Amare Stoudemire absolutely took over the game in the last couple minutes. I didn't like Manu Ginobili before this series, and I'm starting to "not like" him more and more each game I watch him. He's a good player, but you can tell he grew up with soccer the way he takes flops trying to draw fouls. I didn't really like to see that. I'm sure the Spurs will have some arguments with the referees down the stretch, but it's the playoffs, so suck it up.
