I think it's way overdue with the Gran Turismo franchise featuring Koenigsegg vehicles in any shape, way or form. Some new manufacturers we got in GT7 were BAC, Genesis, Jeep and Radical, but that's that for now, until that changes in future updates.

There seems to be this pattern with Gran Turismo eventually getting cars from one of the most-requested "new-to-series" manufacturers. We got Ferrari back in the early days of the PS3 era (starting with GT5 Prologue), Bugatti and Lamborghini in GT PSP, Maserati and McLaren in GT5, and Porsche in GT Sport.

Nowadays, the most-requested new-to-series brand to feature in Gran Turismo is well, Koenigsegg.

Besides their hypercars, the CCGT would also make for a great Gr. 3 car, but if Polyphony wants to make Koenigsegg an FIA GTC manufacturer for the Manufacturers' Series, they can make like an Agera Gr. 4 just for that.

Or they could just not, like how they made Suzuki a Swift Gr.4 and no Gr.3 car just like Bugatti, meaning that they do not complete in GTWS.

The other a fairly recent very low volume car manufacturer with absolutely none motor racing involvement and most of us never seen one in person.
I wasn't a Koenigsegg fan either until I saw an Agera RS in person. I'm now officially a fanboy. I would love to see these cars in GT7.

You need variety in any racing game, and GT doesn't really have too much in the crazy powerful hypercar category. We have the ~600-700hp Ferrari's and Lambo's and the now ancient Veyron, but not much else. Not everyone likes them, but they are the poster cars for the same reason they've always been.

Koenigesegg would fit in will.

I'd love to see them in the game, but there are other brands that should be in front of them. Not having Lotus is a real slap in the face.

PD is busy patting itself in the back and adding more GTR and japanese cars. I mean it is a Japanese game so expect a huge bias and a bunch of missing cars.

If you want your other car fix for the several hundreds of missing cars, either build a pc rig or get a series X and get Forza Horizon 5. I'm hoping they add the new Hennessey Venom F5 in that game soon. Love driving around in my Koenigseggs and the Hennessey Venom GT.

While I would like to see Koenigsegg, if I had the choice between them and another manufacturer, it would be Lotus. Yeah, I know about the licensing issue likely tied to the Geely merger(along with Volvo). Completely forgot about the Sports Beta and the Evora and it just adds salt to the open wound.
