Where is the Mini Cooper 1.3i (98)?

The picture comes from the japanese version. The Mini appears in the PAL car list (as seen on www.granturismo.de), but it still has to be discovered.

Would be pretty daft if the proper Mini wasn't in PAL GT4 since it originates from the UK & was in the Japanese version. Maybe BMW forced em to exclude it since it makes the new one look like a barge in comparison.

I think we can safely assume the 98 Mini is not in the game. That screenshot is as stated from the Japanese version, but it is in the Legendary Cars section (you can tell from the colour of the background) . There is no Legendary Cars section under Mini in the PAL version (and I assume NTSC) .

The US and European versions of GT4 are published by respectively SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) and SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe).
Thus, sorry but your picture doesn't give us more info : we already know the car is in the japanese game. It's a pity but we still have to look for it in the game.

Well, it's in the PAL-version (in arcade mode at least) for sure, but you're gonna need a Action Replay Max for it. These are for the European versions, btw.

You can see it in the Picture in the North American Version as well, and officially it's not in the PAL version (or so it would appear) as it would appear as you still have to use an action Replay to get it. It has always been one of my favorite cars in previous GT games, I really don't understand why they would have cut it.

Mine are SECI too lol (USA here) lol... I'd like to have the Mini 1.3 myself... I've been playing the game non-stop (i have stopped B-Spec owns me) lol... so I do want that car too but not as badly as you all, I'm more of a Nissan guy but yea... little dissapointed with the nissan lineup as well.. but we'll see.... hopefuly you can unlock it somewhere or at a certain (special) percentage.

I guess those who didn't know it now do know it.
As a matter of fact, I've never been in the photo mode and I don't plan to go there.
It seems to me 100% useless stuff, like the B-spec mode. Why not a fishing simulator in Grand Valley Lake ?
I'd rather have car damage, engines blowing, punctures... to make it a real driving simulator. 👎

Yeah, 49 Skylines just doesn't cover it somehow.

I'm pretty pissed that after ALL that damn waiting and delays and crap... things like this happen. I mean, there are several cars that are misconfigured, glitches here and there, and missing functionality. They had better fricking NAIL it when they release the online bit or I think I'm done with the GT series. At least there are other racing games coming out to "challenge the throne".

Yeah, there's no way that list is complete, it lists only 200 cars. You can see it's missing one of the 1886 benzes, the auto union, the pug 905. That makes the entire lists unreliable, in my mind.

Will have to wait for GT5 and hopefully 1000 cars. And not 300 skylines and evo's extra!

There are NO excuses for NOT including the Classic Mini!

Every (European and Asian) family car today are basically a copy of the Mini, with its frontwheel drive and transverse engine!

It won 2nd prize in "Car of the Millenium" (only beaten by Ford T), so again... there are NO excuses excluding it!

THIS CAR IS IMPORTANT HISTORICALLY AND HAS UNIQUE HANDLING !
Especially the Original Mini Cooper S which won the Monte Carlo Rally four years in a row, back in the sixties!!! If any car deserves to be in GT4 the Mini does!

In GT3 I really missed GT2's superb Monte Carlo Mini (MKI), which I enjoyed battleing around any track compeeting (and winning) over much more powerfull cars!

But at least in GT3 the last version of the Mini (Rover 1.3i) appeared (but unfortunately as the weakest car in the whole game)
But with a little hybrid trick - I got the Mini back in business

And now...... there's apparently NO Mini at ALL in GT4 (PAL)
The BMW Mini is NOT a Mini! It's got "Mini" written all over it, but that's all. Not even ONE single NUT can be used as a sparepart for the classic Mini!
I REALLY hope it is hidden in the game and at least can be cheated available!!!

I am 100% sure that BMW is the sinner as one guy wrote earlier...
If we (BMW) remove the Classic Mini, we force the players to drive the New Mini!
And this is going on in real life too! BMW paid a lot of money for having a remake of "The Italian Job" made.....! They really try their best to make us forget the original movie (and Mini).
But there's NO chance that I'll ever place my butt in either a New Mini or ANY BMW for that sake!
BMW have maybe succeeded removing it from GT4, but they will never ever succeed forcing me to buy the New Mini - NEVER!
I haven't driven anything else but Mini, for 20 years now!

just found out today - well that the real Mini isn't in the game....

I know that the greater part of GT4 players maybe don't care, but it would have been more correct to bring one of each three legendary cars... and certaintly the Mini isn't the least important, because of it's great success in race and rally through the times... I don't believe the Beetle nor the 2CV can match the Mini on a racetrack!? And that's what GT4 is all about, isn't it P.D.!?

Nuff said. Sort it out KY, dump the photomode, the 13 million variations of Skylines, Evos and Silvias and put back the real Mini, and let us race you too, online, realtime. Anyway, even if the real Mini is not in the US/EU games, we know it was in the Japanese version. So I think it's somewhere in the game even if it's not accessible.
Like hidden cars in GT Concept or GT3, with a GT4 Editor we'll be able to have it in our garage eventually.
Just a matter of time.
Meanwhile, if you fancy some racing in the New Mini Cooper-S ( I know), you know where to come.

Um Photo Mode didn't replace Online, Both features were suppose to be in the game. Online didn't make it as it caused to much problems with something else in the game (I think)
