And to think I just watched Apocalypse Now last night on the tv for the umpteenth time.
Cheers Shaun.

I've read the Life of Pi.
Supposedly, its a true story.
Its too far fetched for it to be a true story in my opinion. It was a very good book in that it did manage to suspend your reality when you were reading the book itself.
I thought it was too, like the carnivorous island. But that Pi fellow sure is a very unique guy, especially what cleverness he exhibited at the end.

Waiting on my delivery of the Hitch Hiker's Guide series from the UK. I'm not currently reading it because it's not here yet but it's the next thing I'll read. Haven't read them for many years so I'm quite excited about it arriving.

Great books
Great series
Cannot wait for the next series:tup:
^ I'm sure he just meant "next book".
I'm also reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series at the moment: A Clash of Kings.
Fair point there.Yeah, it's very possible (and I expect) that you're right on that one and it's just something being lost in translation. That being said, it's possible (if unlikely) that he may have just gotten the box set of the first four and didn't realize that the fifth one is out.
I just don't want to assume in case that results in the poor guy missing out on book 5. 👍
I'm just at 10% of the second book, so I'm very early in the series. But yes, loving it so far. 👍How are you liking it at this point? Have you gotten far into it?
I love the series.

Just started re-reading The Gardens Of The Moon by Steven Erikson, the first volume in The Malazan Book Of The Fallen.
The series is well worth a try if you haven't read any of them.
What is the series like? I'm looking for some books to get lost in and I'm a sucker for fantasy.
