Hi Guys,

Im damn stuck with this one championship. In the second last tear there is a championship called classic race car championship.

I only have a 1,5MIL CR and need to buy a car to race this event.

What did you use?

Thanks in advance........

I used a '69 Chevrolet Camaro I bought at the Chevrolet dealer. It is one of the few cars that can be race-modded at GT Auto. This gives you the advantage of having adjustable downforce, something which helps the handling greatly and is more or less a necessity when facing a pack of race cars. I also tuned it to the maximum including soft racing tires, though it later turned out that the supercharger is expendable since it does not add any more power at higher revs.

Anyway, the total cost of this project should be somewhere between 300,000 and 400,000 credits including the car, and it enabled me to win every race of this event quite easily. It handles very well, is pretty much equal to the fastest cars in the pack in terms of raw acceleration and declasses the AI under braking and in the bends.

for an easy win, use the challenger r/t 1970, get it modified in a race care, and boost the cars whit all the part possible, tune the transmission at 400km/h .....enjoy!!!!

There are a few you can use if you are good enough The Camaro Z28 RM, The Challenger RM the Lambo or the 512bb have been know to work.

The best choice if you find those to hard or want B-Spec Bob to win the race is the 1970 Toyota 7 Race car. It is a little rocket and you will be racing against it in that event. You can get this by winning the B-Spec like the wind race or you can buy it from the used car dealer for around 4 million.

have you tried the countach LP400? it's a prize car for the gallardo trophy, you don't need to spend a dime on the car. spend it on tuning upgrades instead.

I was able beat both races using a fully modded 1974 Lamborghini countach. Granted, it took me several tries on Deep Forest.
ake sure to not start a race with a Chaperal at the front of the grid. That car will walk away with the race. I wasnt able to make ground on him. They will most likly get through the pack by the end of the race, were you might have to do some blocking on the staights.

Ps... Beat it this morning before work... rather exited, since its the first race that has given me any trouble. Hated it at first, but I'm glad I have golded it all.!!!!!

I used the Camaro 69 RM, at least with wheel it was easy. One needs to be careful of the fact that AI cars seem to increase speed towards end. I was almost cought by that Toyota 7 race car.

Apologies on the Porsche joke, I did include the crying smiley, I meant sarcasm. In a sad way.

The Cobra 427 is an especially fast car and could be driven to take the checkers in this event. However, it requires more skill than I possess as I cannot control the car at the speeds required to win these races. It will fly past the competition on straights. But, it requires a lot of braking time to keep it on the track for cornering.

I only point this out because it is a relatively cheap option as the car is awarded at a fairly low level event. Mine is fully upgraded (might be part of my handling issues). Racing modification is not available for this car.

it all depends on where the Toyota starts. It is much faster than the others and if it makes it to the front it will run away. I ran it a couple of times in the Camaro on one try the Toyota got past me and I was full throttle on the straights but he was still walking away like it was nothing. I could catch up a bit in the corners but he was to fast on the straights and eventually opened up a large lead over everything even the 2J was way behind on Deep Forest.

The next time I made sure to get to the front early and stay there. I was keeping my eye in the mirror and on the last lap the Toyota 7 managed to get to 2nd place and here he comes much faster than I am but I crossed the line first.

I let Bob try the Camaro and he finished 7th in the Toyota he smoked them.
