Which cars will be upgraded to premium/downgraded to standard?

I want to ask something. How do I preorder this game? I want the 15th Anniversary Edition so I can get the most stuff (like I always want to). EDIT: Some other guys answered this.

Seeing as it is the exact same model as the standard car it replaced, maybe it isn't new to the series?

Whoa whoa whoa are you serious? Do you not realize how many cars were downgraded from GT4 to GT5? And yes I am dead serious. If you don't realize that a mass majority of the cars were downgraded from GT4 to GT5 then you are not a GT fan. Or GT6 is about to be your very first GT game. This is a VERY valid thread and thread title.

I didn't know that, and I've owned GT5 for almost 2 years.

Wow the thread is really hot now. I guess I should make this a GT6 Chat thread. I wonder, is Forza Motorsport 5 going to be better? I have played Forza 4 but it became boring after a few weeks. In GT5, however, it was the almost perfect racing game for me. But that graphics! That graphics look worse than the game in the video I'm going to post a link of:

Note the game is from 1993.

Yes your thread title is an excellent question. At launch GT5 had major downgraded cars from GT4. GT5 has had a lot of updates and patches which has greatly improved standards. So yes again, your thread is very valid. It will be interesting to see what is downgraded or removed from GT5 to GT6. Great thread. I will list a couple examples.....

For those that don't know or somehow forgot, when GT5 launched, 80% of the cars were "standard" cars. About 80% still are. At launch there is a very long list of what you could not do with the standard cars in GT5, yet you could do in GT4. A couple perfect examples are...1. you could not change wheels. 2. You still cant bring standards to photo travel in GT5. Those are just a couple examples of cars downgraded from GT4 to GT5. There are many more examples. In fact you STILL cant bring standards to the phototravel mode in GT5. That means 80% of the cars are not able to use a main feature in GT5 that they were able to use in GT4. I wont post the long list again but, yes, 80% of the cars were indeed downgraded from GT4 to GT5 in many ways. If you don't believe me, take a car in GT5 to the phototravel mode. That's just 1 example. There are many many more examples but they have already been posted over 1000 times on the threads over the last 3 years.

Not sure how missing features are equivalent to cars getting downgraded. My questions that somehow ticked you off was directly related to the thread title being "premium cars downgraded to standard". I don't see how what you posted has anything to do with what I originally asked as the cars themselves were not downgraded. I really don't get you.

When was I ticked off? And I knew if I answered your question, you still wouldn't get the answer. :lol:
With that said, I have already perfectly explained the answer and have no reason to reply in here any longer.
 
On the subject of downgrades: it actually looks to me like some cars (especially the trucks, see the rear bumper of the Ford Lightning for an idea of what I'm on about) actually were downgraded from GT4 to GT5. Lower res textures at least.
 
It's kinda baffling that cars like the Toyota 7, the BMW V12 LMR and the other open top LMP standard cars are not fully modeled in GT6 /)_-

They even have cockpits. All you need to do PD is add more polygons :ouch:
