Which cars will be upgraded to premium/downgraded to standard?

@6ranTur15m05 What I mean is that these machines, having even the cockpit modeled in GT5, aren't fully remodeled in GT6.

@6ranTur15m05 As in after Spec 2.0, when all standard cars got "simplified" cockpits. These machines have cockpit views, which are actually quite well modeled compared to other Standard cars. The FGT, the LMPs, the Caterham, the Plymouth Prowler, the Chappy 2J and the Toyota 7 all have visible cockpits. PD should model these further for GT6.

Alright, so something between Spec 2 Standards (as in like Toyota 7 and Chaparral 2J) and Full Premium.

PD should fully premiumize these machines I'm mentioning.

I just realized this. Sorry if this has been said before, but PD has the 24h Le Mans license back. No doubt they'll edit participating Le Mans cars to replace their "Gran Turismo" sticker that was in place for the absence of the 24h Le Mans sticker that was lost after GT3, with the real thing.

Which is good in my opinion.

Yeah I don't think they'll downgrade but you can obviously expect more premiums we don't know how many though since this is only the second GT to have this variation.

Yes your thread title is an excellent question. At launch GT5 had major downgraded cars from GT4. GT5 has had a lot of updates and patches which has greatly improved standards. So yes again, your thread is very valid. It will be interesting to see what is downgraded or removed from GT5 to GT6. Great thread. I will list a couple examples.....

For those that don't know or somehow forgot, when GT5 launched, 80% of the cars were "standard" cars. About 80% still are. At launch there is a very long list of what you could not do with the standard cars in GT5, yet you could do in GT4. A couple perfect examples are...1. you could not change wheels. 2. You still cant bring standards to photo travel in GT5. Those are just a couple examples of cars downgraded from GT4 to GT5. There are many more examples. In fact you STILL cant bring standards to the phototravel mode in GT5. That means 80% of the cars are not able to use a main feature in GT5 that they were able to use in GT4. I wont post the long list again but, yes, 80% of the cars were indeed downgraded from GT4 to GT5 in many ways. If you don't believe me, take a car in GT5 to the phototravel mode. That's just 1 example. There are many many more examples but they have already been posted over 1000 times on the threads over the last 3 years.

Not being able to use photomode or add wheels to "standards" doesn't mean the cars were downgraded in terms of visual appearance, just that PD decided not to make those features available for them at release.

I hope some new cars won't get standard, as they did with the Holden Monaro and Jaguar XFR in GT5.

Not sure if its necessarily the license so much as it is the ACO's permission to reproduce the sticker on the R18, but I did notice that (along with the ILMC sticker, which is pretty much gone since its now the WEC). It does bring some curiosity as to if all the cars they modeled before with the sticker now have it back on them.
