True, but I'd point out:
- very limited production run
- hasn't been made in some time
- other than the UK and some selected European countries, it was unavailable.

Very quick car though.

Geez, um, I think it's between the RS6, Jag S-Type R, and M5. Funny enough, this month's EVO had a great article on these -- plus the missing Lotus Carlton. :) I'm tempted to agree with EVO at times, but I have doubts about the S-Type being a real car (as in, not a real, supple Jaguar, since it's based on the Lincoln LS...which stinks), and I don't like dead steering as the M5 seems to have. So that leaves me with the RS6, which, as a big Audi fan, I'm happy to be "stuck" with. I just wish that for once Audi would pull some tricks from Porsche's steering handbook....

Not for a Lincoln. :D

Oh, right, for a Lincoln, this year's Lincoln is great. But that's like saying Dubya won the spelling bee against Dan Quayle. Still, I think Jaguar could do more unique jobs, or at least try to change more of the car. What is it with Ford? Why is Jaguar so stifled by them? I mean, Mazda and Volvo do good jobs with Ford parts. Did everyone jump ship from Jaguar when Ford bought them out?

Comparatively, yes, Mazda and Volvo do a good job with Ford parts, but neither needs the parts (Mazda is synonymous with recalls now, thanks to ford, and the Volvo S40 is a joke, but it's made in Holland, so maybe it's not Ford's fault :P). They need the cash, the marketing, the security of being owned by a company so if they go into the red, they can get bailed.

Jaguar sucks. What was the last good Jaguar? The XJS? Yeah, I'm not much of an XK8 fan.

Wait; is this quote from the same person who said that Ford would be bankrupt in a year? ;) I guess I understand why these companies (Jaguar, in particular) sold out to Ford, but you'd think that they'd have some clause in the contract about maintaining loyalty to the original character.... You'd think so, anyway.

The XJS, for sure, but I think the XKR makes a good case for itself as a GT, if not a GT/sports car. Certainly looks good, IMO. Very Jaggish.
