I'm thinking of going full hipster in test season 2 and choose the least popular car manufacturer. I'm not sure that I know why, but I just feel like giving it a try. Maybe I can discover the true underdog. Or maybe it will be a complete fiasco and my DR will drop down to E. Time will tell!

So which one is the least popular manufacturer do you think? Is there a car manufacturer that you have rarely seen in the championship?

Personally I don't think I've ever seen a Hyundai. So my bet is on Hyundai.

Lexus and Toyota seems to be unpopular, at least from me playing the manufacturer and national cup.

My favorite is Renault and also in most races I don’t see any of them ;-)

I started seeing them yesterday in the Mount Panorama race. Erickgtr3123 set the worlds fastest time in a Mégane. :)

Yeah, haven't seen many of those. I think I've seen one Toyota but not sure if I've seen any Lexus cars. Are they that bad or do people not like the brands is all?

I think it's both of the reasons, I remember in the closed beta, the FT1 Gr.3 wasn't that good but again, that was months ago.

The lexus RCF GT3 and Gr.4 aren't the best but you can do well if you're really skilled and the other players aren't that competitive. I won with the GT3 Lexus before but wasnt that lucky afterwards.

It seems that most European players stick with German or Italian brands at most.

I am driving the ford and it is rare that i see another one on track.

Yeah I was initially thinking of driving the Mustang or Corvette. Haven't seen many of those around.

I think I never saw a Ford, Hyundai, Lexus or Peugeot.

I've seen a couple of Peugeot. They are so small and cute. :D

Other than myself, I never saw someone drive Hyundai Genesis and it's a decent car.

It was my first Gr.3 gift car. I've only driven it in time trial. Did you have any wins with it?

I'm the only Lamborghini in races in the Manufacturers cup although when people can pick the group 4 car there's sometimes a few.

I use the Lexus all the time in Gr3 and 4. The Gr4 is faster than most in a straight line but doesn't turn in so well, stable on exit though.
The Gr3 is a great car, I think if more people gave it a try you'd see it a lot more, never qualified outside the top 4 in any of my manufacturer races. Fast and stable, hard to think of any real weakness tbh, but I haven't actually used many of the other cars since I've always been a Lexus fanboy.

I’m with Lexus and I’m always the only one. The Gr.4 car is so terrible... A minivan with a wing. The GT3 is awesome. I’ll change to Hyundai

I've signed with Subaru for this week. I've only ever seen one subaru in Gr4 and it blew everyone else away. I'm sure it had a good driver at the wheel but the car will have had a lot to do with it.

I initially wanted to choose Subaru, because I liked the looks of the Gr.3 car. But I have a hard time overcoming the understeer. Tell me if you find a nice setup for it!

I was with Honda in first season and never seen a NSX, even if there were many players in the standings.

Season 2 i don't know what manufacturer chose, i thing i'll go with the OP brand like Alfa Romeo or Renault (i'm trying to find why the 4C and the Meganè are so OP but i don't know). Or maybe i'll go with a classic, Porsche, which i think comes immediatly after the 4C and the Meganè.

Im driving for Subie. The GR3 car def dont understeer and is a pretty solid car.. The GR4 on the other hand...not a fan.

I’ve seen plenty of Hyundai (is that a plural for Hyundai, I’m not sure) very few Toyotas and lexus’s (Again I’m guessing with plural) my Mercedes is usually pretty rare. Think there are about 3 or 4 really common cars, Nissan, Renault, Ferrari and Alfa...

You can play with brake balance though and it can make a significant difference.

Yeah it was mainly this I was thinking about. Cars that understeer seem to benefit from changes in the brake balance.

Really? Maybe I was driving it the wrong way. But I'm used to FR cars that have that "snap" when you turn in, and the WRX does not have those characteristics. I honestly thought it was a 4WD at first.

I was using the Toyota but feel I'll go back to Nissan. GT86 is dire on the straights but the FT-1 is decent!
Always been a Nissan fanboy since I saw an R30 for real.

I kinda wanna go for the Aston's next though, support British!

I drive the Mazda Atenza GR. 3 & GR. 4. Used the Atenza GR. 3 to do the Nurburgring 4 lap endurance race.

How was the GR.3 for you?

I'm thinking about jumping ship to my favourite manufacturer as I was originally put off by the GR.3 being front wheel drive.

Haha, I didn't even know what it looked like. Had to go to Car Central and confirm that there actually are Gr.3 and Gr.4 Mazdas. So far this seems like the best candidate for my hipster run. :D

I've seen a lot more Mazdas than I expected. However, I did not encounter a single Ford, Lexus or Chevrolet. I also do not remember coming across a Subaru.
