In the recent article Gran Turismo 5 Packaging Reveals Three Discs, the same, to my knowledge, still unidentified tracks reappear. Does anyone have an idea what they are?

1. 0:20-0:29 The same track as seen in the E3-trailer with JGTC cars and the crash with the GT-Citroen.

2. 3:27, very short. Seems to me like the same track as in the Ferrari 458 trailer, where it was shown a little longer. Reminded me of a track I saw in Top Gear somewhere in the US, where Clarkson tested the Ford GT.

Btw, from 3:20-3:23, that's probably the top gear test track again, right? I think it might be a hint that the exact same part of track is shown again there, i.e. with 2 cars racing side by side. I think that strongly suggests that part is used as a drag strip.

Any ideas on 1 & 2 appreciated.

The first one is tsukuba circuit as seen in GT4.

For the second one, you're probably talking about Willow Springs. From the SLS video above, it doesn't look like it there's grass on the side of the track but still I would love to see it in GT5, nice track, with an awesome scenery. It would be, for me, a nice photo location for muscle cars.

2. Possibly Stelvio Pass.

Doesn't mean it's confirmed though.

The link didn't work for me but I googled Stelvio Pass and this is what I got. OMG.

You guys should check out the Top Gear Best Driving Road episode where they drive Stelvio.... but also the road from here to Davos.. pure driving Nirvana

That would be a nice feature to implement in future GT series. Find the best driving roads across the world and digitally replicate them as you would a race track.

Another one aside from the Stelvio would have to be the Tail of the Dragon.

Here be dragons

^^^ French roads give me that impression, my reason is because french roads are soooooo smoooooth. The surrounding areas are always clean, so thumbs up for that.Croatian roads & cities are the same too, very clean, well preserved countries.

P2P rally style stages based on real world locations would be fantastic...

Another one... I had the pleasure of driving the Grossglokner Pass in Austria, awesome road. Pity I was in a minibus lol.

it has always been my dream to race on alpine passes and if GT6 or some other version of gt would have that, than i would be speechless as i am now for just thinking about it

no they're not, unfortunately
they have great configuration of bends ups and downs but pavement is in very bad condition on most roads

depends which city and what part of city but thats how it is in every city i guess

I haven't driven this road, but very similar ones in the south of France, and I can tell you, those parts are no fun at all! It gets extremely tiring and tedious until they open up for a while.

At 3:27 i think it's a real image from a real track. This one:

The "le mas du clos" track is a french private owned one (by one of the world biggest Ferrari afficionado and collector) where Mercedes use to shoot some press pictures and video for their AMG series since few years.

Sorry but i think all the unmasked SLS live footage came from a discret filming in august on the "le mas du clos" track and first released on september with High res pictures.

They are not fun unless you have a nice handling car and know what you are doing, on Professional level of racing. I am sure I will be frustraited with this track in game as well, but later I will love it. Same thing happen with NUR-RING and GT4. It was first game I ever seen the track, at first I hated it now I love it.

I think Big Sur / Highway 1 in California would be a better choice, it's got a better view and the road is winding but no where near as twisty as that

thats nice, now i wonder why most american cars suck that much cuz clearly there are some curvy roads in the usa

although not twisty enough for my taste, thats still a very fast road and you need to do like 130kph in the bends to have fun:D
