Got into drifting while i was in highschool before i even had a license. Being from hawaii and how many asians we have there it wasnt long before a friend i raced with brought a vhs from japan called OPTION. At the end of the video it showed a bunch of drifting. Soon after i saw the Drift Bible on VHS and in Japanese i was 16 or 17. After that, when ever it rained i took any car i could get my hands on and practiced at the community college parking lot. I been drifting since 1997,Played the first GT and if i could drift my moms car i drifted in the game. Been that way since.

Favorite drifters- KT & Taniguchi

GT5 drifters- Nemesis, Cropius, fairladyz32nd, MCR, MLD, TXR and many more.

Inspiration- The fact that you will never be the best and you are always learning something new. The friends you make along that path make it challenging and enjoyable. The rivals you make, give you ambition. But most of all for me is the ability to help open a persons eyes to the very large world of drifting and help them learn and be a part of our world.

favorite drivers in gt5, Alex, Legalize420, Hen and Lyric; could tandem with them for hours door to door.

It all started on 2008. I started viewing some D1GP and my mind was blowing.
That same evening my cousin and my uncle arrived with a GT-R R35. I immediately asked him for take a round around town. I was surprised of how a Japanese car could be that fast, so I started to love Japanese car culture. When summer finished I bought a PSP, and a copy of GTPSP, and started playing it sideways. Also I started drifting on GT4.
About a year later, my uncle ran on "Baja Portalegre 2009", in Portugal. He was going #MaximumAttack, sideways. Mind-Blowing. I even still have some T-shirts and goodies from that experience. And a route book. Then, he crashed his GTR, and sold it. He bought a Polaris and it was a special ed. from Robby Gordon or something like that , lol idk. He get me to a drift ride in a narrow as fook road.
Aw, and virtually my inspirations are Blitzu and JDM-Whiteboy, or RSM-Wolf:tup:

Awh thanks Alex! ^^ Means a lot!

Nice thread!

I often think to myself where my inspiration came from. Drifting is what truly get's me pumping, there's nothing else like it!

The obvious sources for my inspirations come from all the big names in the Japanese Drifting Culture. Burst, Mind Control, Sexy Knights, etc. Championships like the D1GP, and of course, Events such as the famous Drift Matsuri. It's crazy how much I rely on youtube Haha!

And how can I forget, ohh the cars! I love anything Stanced! <3

But still, what is it about Drifting that gets me ticking? I'm not exactly an aggressive person, I don't drift to let off steam or such. It's purely out of fun, for the challenge and to get my blood pumping!

The term, Drifting for fun; practicing with a bunch of friends in missiles, bumping and trading paint, burning rubber, having a good time.
Sounds like perfection to me.

Hmm what inspires me?

Every Japanese drifter, famous or not, who'll go flat out sideways at a wall, knowing if any movement is wrong by a few inches, that they'll end the day without a car and with a doctors appointment, purely because they enjoy it!

I was introduced to the Japanese scene by Nate and Alex (Knight_Spirit and Saggyscrot) back when we created ACN nearly 2 + 1/2 years ago, and it really has changed my life! I couldn't thank them more. x

Seeing real-world drifting always gets me hyped to get back home and get sideways myself, something I seem never able to resist! I've been in a few drift cars, but never at the wheel, it's crazy fun andnI can't wait to start drifting myself!

My inspirations are: Ken Nomura, Initial D <- Really got me into drifting and cars in general, my brother and my team mates.
