Seriously Every single grid follows the same order. this is especially infuriating when you want a 1 V 1 race. You always get the same two cars depending if you decide to start first or second. .

The first two cars in GR 4 are ALWAYS the Golf and Megane
The first two in Gr 3 are always the M3's

The beta had random grids and I honestly thought it was a glitch, but it seems PD has set fixed grids.

Custom race is my favourite mode and the same grid has never bothered me, but it's interesting to read that the beta was random which I would prefer of course.

The N division is just as frustrating: detuned cars that can handle their power in the front (N800 LaFerrari, Veyron) and hyper tuned cars that slide all over the place in the back (N800 NSX, LC500). I actually feel bad about how left behind the upgraded cars get. C'mon PD, give the underdogs a chance and put them up front for a change.

Being able to choose what tires everyone has would be nice too. A field of 20 N1000 on SH tires is pretty ridiculous.

I agree, since GT5 and GT6, Sport hard Tires on a Veyron (wich each tire in the real life costs more than a new "compact car" ) is absurd ..

I would love to have the option of qualifying in custom race. Can't be that hard to implement since it was a feature in some of the older GT's.

Exactly . Everything under N 500 has cars that naturally belong there, once you get past n500 there are detuned/tuned cars . I guess PD is doing it so you don't realize how little N 600/700/800/900/1000 cars there are

PD should just add two options : Allow tunning (yes/no) / Tyre type ( Default / comfort hard etc.. )

That's it!, I've been racing and cruising in online lobbies with those restrictions since GT5 and is quite fun to compare cars performance. It would be so easy to implement that filter with a simple "for" in any programming language. For custom and arcade races it would make them so much interesting than having an unrealistic downgraded LaFerrari to 600 cv for example. The only way I managed to do it is a head to head with a n1000. Then if you're lucky the game will put you against a "real" n1000 car not some tuned n600 one.

Example:

I think it would be cool to set the grids with cars from our garage. We'd be able to race against custom race cars we've made in livery editor and create makeshift multi-class races if we don't have an online group with which to coordinate.

That would be pretty awsome. Having a box that says ( use custom liveries on opponents ) and another box that stated ( use custom numberplates) kinda like what ALREADY EXIST online. Evo did it in driveclub , you could toggle between stock/liveries in the options menu
