Why did PD decided to force us to play with rubberbanding AI?

Besides improving AI and having more balanced grids with all AI cars being as close to the PP limit as possible, PD also needs to improve the racing experience by including optional qualifying, option to enable mechanical damage & penalties, and option to enable fuel/tire wear in all game modes, as well as adding more career events.

We want fast, smart AI. Just like every other racing game has. Instead of improve it, you make it even worse than in gt5. What is the point? Annoy gt fans?
If I was Kaz and read this and saw, "What is the point? Annoy gt fans?", I'd just pass right by even if it had 1000 votes. It's fine to vent and there's a time and a place for it, I just don't believe this is the place for that type of question. Others may disagree:lol:

I have to wonder if GT uses any playtesters out of studio.

I mean can you imagine any GT fan like amar212 or Tenacious D testing GT6 in beta and being happy about rubberband AI and giving it their approval? Rubberband AI is annoying even in arcade racers.

In GT5 it was the XP system. Who actually thought that was a good idea? And it didnt help how poorly it was implemented.

Terrible design decisions like that need to stop making it into the hands of the consumer.

TenD has said many, many, many times he has had many good races with the AI and really enjoys racing against them and it's not as bad as everyone thinks it is. Maybe he did beta test it and that's why it is the way it is.
