...Um, anyway...

It should be worth noting that Daiki has recently changed his photo on Facebook to the one of him in Paris. First time in a decade as well.

He's clearly up to something this year, and this Pharrell collab seemingly might be one of them.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Why Did Pharrell Williams Visit Polyphony Digital’s Tokyo Studio?

Superstar musician Pharrell Williams met with Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital staff at the company’s offices in Tokyo, Japan. The visit was announced by Yamauchi himself on social media as he shared several photos of the occasion...
He wears the Richard Mille

RM UP-01 FERRARI !!!!! :), thats better than that Bvlgari GT Watch :D;)

It’s funny to see so many people in here deriding the music in GT7 when so much if it is borrowed from earlier titles. I love hearing the classic menu tracks when they come up.

That said, while there are some great new tracks in the game (Summertime Madness comes to mind) a LOT of the music in GT7 is terrible and strictly associated with certain menus.

The addition of “classical music with a drum beat behind it” is almost always terrible. “The entertainer” playing constantly when in GT Auto sucks… along with another track that I can’t recall the name of which also forces me to mute when making a livery or modifying a car… and then when a good track is on it forces it to change when exiting a menu.

The addition of classic menu tracks is awesome, but they’ve definitely screwed up a lot of other aspects of menu music. I can’t speak to race music, because one of the first things I do when firing up a racing game is ensuring there is no music when racing.

Right? Not to mention there are some absolute beauties in there, like this (unless you're using broadcast mode, then enjoy Cargo and 4 Chords :D)

GT has music?
Every year at Christmas ;)

And 2 important points not featured in the article:

1. Kaz wanted this photo ONLY because it was time to replace his selfie with ME from Orange Box 2016 on his wall. (I still say our selfie was better though!)
2. Like all of us, Pharrell clearly switches on GT7 just before midnight so he can get his daily marathon ticket as soon as possible afterwards and crosses his fingers for a good prize reward. Yes, that's right, we all stay up all night to get lucky...

As I was too busy being very unwell, and also asleep, @Jordan wrote this one.
Oh gawd, Force of habit, I got caught red handed once again assuming it all without checking.
I apologize to the author Jordan and I take the engagement to stop embarassing myself and stop using @ at you until 2025.
I swore 🤝

How can one not relate Cardigans - My Favourite Game to Gran Turismo?

"Heads will roll somehow" has managed its way into my regular playing list ...

But honestly, there was music IN these games, as in during the races?
