Ive noticed it after parties a lot and when I listen to music loud in my car.

My ears are still ringing after last night:nervous:

Yes. Keep it up, and that'll be ALL you can hear.

And if your car is loud enough to make your ears ring, please keep in mind that many, perhaps even most of us around you do not share your taste in music. Turn it the **** down! :) (At least at lights and stuff, where nobody can escape your torture.)

lol

i had that really bad one time when my cousin took apart a mad dog. he didn't realize that it was a short fuse after the green one and it exploded in the air inches from his hand. the bad part is i was standing right there with him and it completely blasted my ear drum. my hearing took about a half an hour to get back to normal.

Go to a concert and stand near the speakers all night without ear plugs and it will take a lot longer than a half hour for your hearing to return to normal.

Amen! Yeah that ringing is the ear going kaput, you probably wouldn't be able to hear that exact frequency again now.

I only once had my ears ringing and for a similar reason to you.

I was pulling apart some firecracker when I was pretty young in my fathers garage, I had it in a vice and being young and stupid didn't realise crushing it in the vice would set it off..... in a small enclosed area or the garage, my ears were ringing (Tinnitus) for about a half hour or so.

I have been exposed to other loud noises since (F1 race, low overpass jetfighters, firearms all no earplugs) but haven't experienced it since the firecracker.

Same here. The only time I actually got a reaction from noises like that was when I was listening to a F1 car revving on the spot for half a minute (loudest noise I've ever heard!). I was half death afterwards for at least 10 minutes.

The only time I get ringing is when I'm trying to get asleep at night. It's not really there in the morning.

When we come back from Santa Pod (Drag Strip) on the way home I sometimes actually still hear the cars in the background. Spooky.

It's especially bad at small venues. I really don't understand why they have the music so loud. You can't even HEAR the music. It all becomes noise as it gets jammed together. I always take my strongest earplugs to concerts. You can actually hear more music with them in.

It took 2 days for my hearing to come right after a KoRn concert, the venue it was in is pretty bad for sound quality and some numpty thought it would be a good idea to wind the volume right up.

Tool gig took maybe a day and a half to come right, that one was an outside show too.

Small gigs and pubs and what not screw up my hearing but I'm generally fine in the morning.
