Why does everyone say the Bentley Speed 8 is so good?

Its certainly no better than my trusty Toyota Minolta 88C-V. Its basically identical in my experience, except the Minolta is quicker in a straight line. What's so good about the Bentley (aside from it being British)?

Nice shade of green.

The interior is a bit "90's disco" - I was kind of hoping for a walnut dash and leather trim - Not glow-sticks and more dials than the tardis.

Do you need a better reason than "because it's British?" It was built to exploit vague regulations in the crossover between LM-GTP and LMP classes, and because of that, has one of the best aero packages ever devised. Plus, if you gear it right, it will pull torque under 3000 rpm in 6th, and sound like the mighty Spitfire. Bring it on, Jerry, the plucky Brit shall win the day again.

I'm not doubting that its good. But everyone acts like its the best car ever. Whenever I see a thread about LMP cars, half the posts say that its the best thing ever. So far, I've been unable to work out what makes it better than any other LMP car. So I'll ask again: what's so good about the Bentley Speed 8? (Anything regarding its colour, its nationality or its sound are not valid reasons. I'm British myself, but I would rather just have the fastest car possible).

There is no best car, the best car is what you can drive the fastest, for you it's the Minolta, for me it's the R18.

I loved this car in GT5 for its roof light, its slight growl under the hood and its menacing nature as an AI. I did my first Sarthe 24hrs in it - totally loved this beauty. Then I found out that it was going to be premium in GT6 and it hasn't disappointed. It handles well, you just have to be easy on the throttle when exiting corners.

That is a disgusting colour. Not like British Racing Green, BRG is a nice tasteful hue inherited from Ireland (Shamrock Green) from when it was a part of the United Kingdom.

I suppose to an American, A British Racing Green could be a bit ... Limey? (Worst joke of the year).

Odd really as Limes have a nice shade of Dark Green zest - (As well as being a good source of Vitamin C)

I like the Speed 8 because it is a great handling car. It was my go to car in GT5 and never let me down. I purchase one here in GT6 as soon as I could and did some testing with it, and I can tell you that it again will be my go to racecar in GT6. Its fast, handles great, and is a nice shade of green.

with stock power it does handle very well but with max power its a real handful. figured it out a little bit though. blindingly fast car, probably top 3 or 5 fastest in the game once you got it set correctly
