Why is it so expensive and underpowered compared to the one in the New Car Dealership?

I've got two, because I prefer the looks of the concept version (no bumpers, LED headlights, wheels and some other more minor visual differences) over the production version.

If I recall correctly, the car can take every modification that the '05 can take, and it weighs the same; but I'm not sure how much power it takes when maxed out.

There were actually a substantial amount of cars that had interiors in GT4. They just didn't port nearly any of them to GT5.

I've got one, although it's reporting 20 less horsepower than Graphite is claiming, that said mine has only 50 miles on it so I'll recheck when I've run a couple of laps around Daytona.

Incidentally, this version also retains it's livery when you paint it.

(EDIT) got it to 872 now after 195 miles

Exactly, I went 3 or 4 months before I got the my garage app and saw it but never seen it in game... Take that back a friend posted 2 for perma borrow but I didn't do it

I love the Ford GT. Own all of them, but this one in particular is not my favorite. Infact it's my least favorite of the road car version. But one of the rarest cars in game. Another rare Ford GT is the LM Race car. The "replica" of the '69. Love this one too. It's a shame that GT didn't include the Road version of the GT40 that was in GT2.

Odd car that 02'gt is. Its pretty easy to drift if you can get it in the corner right. I use mine for drag racing, but i have to shift way before red line as it loses a substantial amount of power like most big block muscle cars do. Ive seen 245 with the standard transmission, but im sure i can push 250 with some suspension and transmission tweaks.

Once its max tuned, the handling becomes cursed without the aids, so beware.
