Second off, it's for the people new to the series. Just finish it so you can get it over with.

It's not like it takes long... I'm starting to wonder if you're name has to do with your question. Think about this if you start a completely new game and it just throws you into the action without telling you a single thing wouldn't it be better to have some assistance?

I agree wholeheartedly. It's much more frustrating to play a new game if they don't teach you about the core game mechanics at the beginning. For example, to appeal to a wider audience, 4J Studios included tooltips and a proper introductory area in Minecraft for consoles and mobile devices, since the PC version barely had any beginner tips.

What do you even need help with, anyway? It's just a tutorial, and it's a short one at that. Just get it over with, and everything will be just like the past games.

We're at the time when instruction booklets don't exist anymore in new games. Expect tutorials to happen.

And I believe some of that frustration is justified. I too was a little annoyed with how the game held my hand in the very beginning stages, but not long after, the game lets you go on your merry way. It's a little pothole in the road, with smooth asphalt for the rest of the game.

Dear Mr Stig, I fear that your question is somewhat misdirected. There is only one person who can answer it, and that is the one member of the development team who took the decision that that was the way it would be.

I understand your frustration, and I must admit that my excitement at the release of a new GT title is always tempered by the fact that I know I've got to go through some sort of grind before being able to access the fun that awaits within. I believe that the chaps who put PCars together recognised this and made great play of the fact that no such barrier features in their game at its release.

However, no one here is qualified to give you a satisfactory answer to your question. Should you manage to get your query through to the correct authority I would be grateful if you would post his/her response in this thread.

It's probably because of the rant rather than because you didn't know something. The way you ask a question is the way you're going to get replies.

About the tutorial: It's an introduction to the game, it's there to teach people the basics and were to start. It takes about five minutes to complete and then you're done with it.
