Why no new Missions since update 1.13

Better question is, why no new Championships since 1.00.
A better better question is why no new Lewis Hamilton reference laps in seven years, one week, and one day.

Although we can't answer why, really. Nobody here can possibly know that.

I think the answer to all of the above is simple: PD simply do not care about offline.
Yet they give us monthly updates with offline content, so I am not sure this is the right answer.

And instead of missions, I really prefer they give us regular events that we can repeat to obtain the prize.

Missions likely have a very poor return in player retention, as they are just one offs and then forget about.

Even the enduros, which aren't they great to begin with, only pay out once.

True but why not more missions? At least they're interesting (at least I found them interesting). The Spec II update was massive when it launched. Maybe they could do a Spec III?

I'm probably alone in it but I've done the drag racing missions over and over probably 100 times. It's fun to test new swapped cars but I really wish they would consider a drag racing specific tire.

Missions are the lost opportunity of GT7.
I would prefer more Championships (with any type of cars) with good rewards instead of that nonsense races that give rewards like 5k...

I think I have covered more distance on the missions than on all other races combined (before someone here was asking about SSRX - is that even possible).

What for would I need more credits than I want to spend anyway?

Custom races with self-imposed handicaps are my definition of fun. Lately, I've been racing a reduced-power F1500T-A against a field of 2 Mclarens MP4/4s and 17 F1500T-As customised for each 1988 F1 team. Paint them with the teams' individual colours and give the drivers their real names: Piquet, Senna, Boutsen, Berger, Prost, etc.

You only need 1 Mclaren for Senna and Prost and 9 F1500T-As to tune and paint as Lotus, Benetton, Ferrari, Arrows, Tyrrell, Williams, Leyton-house March (the first car designed by Adrian Newey), Minardi and Rial (this car is only driven by De Cesaris).

Just imagine starting from the back with a Minardi, Senna and Prost and the other cars lined up according to their 1988 performance: Ferrari, Benetton, Lotus and so on. Some bad drivers, like Nakajima and Cheever, you can put at the back of the grid. So they will need a recovery race.

The default AI drives harder with new tyres and whenever it's put under pressure, so don't give the Mclarens a head start.

20 laps, random weather and 10x tyre consumption.
2x fuel consumption is more than enough for 20 laps, so the AI cars don't need to conserve. Also, the car will be lighter in the final stages of the race.

Here's my gallery with some examples and you can add me to watch the replays:

Edit: you can get one of each car above by golding Master Super License and Gone With The Wind mission.
