Why not add parts (performance upgraded parts and accessories, wheels, body-kits) from official performance division's parts provided by the manufacturer's in GT6, alongside the parts the game has ? ... They are within easy reach, and the manufacturer's can easily provide the correct numbers and any additional info without having PD do the tedious work.

Mopar (Dodge) - AMG (Mercedes) - Mazdaspeed - Lexus F - TRD (Toyota) - Abarth (Fiat) - BMW M - Ford Racing (U.S) - FPV Ford Performance Vehicles (AU) - Ford Team RS (UK) - Chevrolet Performance - Nismo (Nissan) - Quattro (Audi) - HPD (Honda) - Ralliart (Mitsubishi) - Renault Sport.

Because offering something like that is far too involved for something with the scope of the GT games. Plus, what happens when you have a car that doesn't have any parts?

I never said 'instead of current parts' .. I meant alongside the current parts we have.

So see the first sentence. Hundreds of cars that would have manufacturer support of some sort. Thousands of possible parts to model.

I mean, we're already at the point where they're trying to model the freakin' universe as accurately as possible, I don't think adding a bumper here and a wheel there is completely out of the question.

This is actually something I've wanted from a racing game for a long time though. The ability to choose a car, and then individually go through every little dealer option, like the interior color, rims, special aero packages, and so on. TDU did it, and actually the more I think about it there were a lot of ideas in TDU that were very smart, that just about everybody missed out on because nobody bought the game.
