1/4 mile: 10.1 @ 137mph
0-100-0:9.9
Top Speed 235mph
*As tested by MotorTrend

And it has more tourque than any other production car out there

(800hp, 850lb-ft. )
'K, settle down, I'm not talking bout the 2003 Viper here, I mean the older Viper. OK, that settles it, Vipers are ... umm ... cool because they are powerful, sleek and smooth. I get the idea.
I still like HSV tho ...

I am not saying I don't like Vipers, cos I do, it is just everybody (well, nearly everybody) at GTP is crazy about them.

Just to let you know there are plenty of street legal cars out *there* that can beat those stats of the Hennessey Venom 800TT Viper...

Saad Saad's '94 6 speed Supra comes to mind...ah, the joy of a street legal Supra with 1050hp...

Everyone loves Vipers not because of the engine, but because of the design. Image a Dodge Viper GTS Coupe, blue with white stripes all nice and shiny. :bigeye:

Come on guys, while there are great cars out there and I love alot of them, there is just something about the Viper. It is a car that stock, can hit very low 12s all day, and even break into the 11s, it makes a wonderful platform for racing, anyone that disagrees doesn't follow motorsports, and looks sweet as hell. Plus it can blow the doors off of almost any stock car out there, besting most of Germany's and Italy's best for half the price, and it can be made insanely fast with mods. It is the ultimate expression of American spirit, be the best at everything it can.

f-bodies have been upgraded to 50 hp less and out quarter miled vipers, they also nearly match the top speed. now you can argue slicks were used all day long, but in terms of power to weight ratio and price, and probably cost of maintaining the engine, the f-bodies are a better choice if you just want to drag race each other in modded cars and not go broke. as great as cars like the viper and nsx are (the nsx and fbodies have very close stats) they suffer from being over priced. 80,000 for an nsx is absurd no matter what anyone says.
