S series motors were never in Corolla's from what I recall. However, the Z series of engines would likely fit, so a 2ZZ-GE could be a fairly simple swap, but I am not certain.

If they can squeeze a 3sgte into an AW11 then surely someone could fit one in there obviously with custom mounts, although after looking at some pictures i'm not so sure.

that chassis would be torn into shred by the immense torque of 3S-series engine.. just like Jazz with Type R engine.

Me? The only lowering I do is a side-effect of the aftermarket parts I buy... and even then, I will add spacers to give it back some ride height and travel.

IMHO... do it all at once...

Good point. It'll never tuck unless you put bigger wheels and tires on it. But right there it looks like you could open the door and walk right in!

The stance is much better. The track is wider and the bigger wheels make the car look smaller and lighter. The only problem with bigger wheels and tires is that the car won't be as low to the ground--but it's not a VW, and that's a sacrifice you have to make if you want to tuck.

And of course, if it actually was lowered it would probably gain quite a bit of camber to help tuck bigger wheels and tires. Problem is, he already bought the wheels and tires. Time to throw them in the shed and get something with a lower offset and at least an inch taller. Tires to match--get a size that keeps the same profile. The combo will probably be over 2 inches taller than before, but you can get the speedometer and odometer changed to compensate.

EDIT: Here it is Something fairly unsuitable for turning into a low drag, low fuel consumption car... turned into a low drag, low fuel consumption car (the inspiration for this was seeing the exact car in the source image for sale at £400... prime candidate for chopping about with in real life!):

The car is my parents', but I put more miles on it on a week than they do on a winter Dailying it for some weeks now, so I just put some wheels on it since they anyway were off a car (MOT-time for the Charade). Every car dude should have a car like this, I once threw five doors at it and it swallowed it all..
