Hey guys,
I would like to discuss today about Willow Springs - Is it possible to get bellow 60 seconds without an F1 car/Red Bull X? I got pretty close in my R92CP, got to about 1:03:53. Anyone broke 60 seconds without F1/Red Bull X? If so, with what car?

Discuss,

Umm, if an LMP got 1:03, I'm pretty sure an F1 car, and DEFINITELY and X1 car, could beat 1:00...

I have to say I quite like this idea, you should consider incoporating a leaderboard or something like that in the OP!

I'd be up to try this. I think I could, just barely though. Are we limited to RH?

Yes.

No Group C car ever took off of it's own accord. The ones that did were LMGTP (Mercedes CLR), LM GT1 (Porsche 911 GT1) & an LMP (BMW V12 LMR.)

He is probably thinking of the mechanical-failiure induced ones (Nissans at Fuji and someone at Le Mans, was last fatal accident before Simonsens... Roger Dorchy, Porsche, something like that? Or was that the WR at Qualifying in the late 90's?... anyway sorry for off topic..).

Just tried the Nissan R92CP '92 ,1027hp, 900kg, 701pp... 00:59:926

Nope, the Chap did it in 1:05.9.

I'm sure it's possible in an FGT or Lotus 97T.

Getting under a minute on this track with different cars is not a big deal and is pretty easy with more than a few cars. I've done it several times while tuning and testing at this track. I'll take and re-run some laps here and post my times later.
