Willow Springs Big Willow in under a minute. Possible?

Gave it a go with the X2014 Fan Car with RS tires and standard downforce settings. I was using a DS3, so I imagine my time could be severely improved with a wheel.
Anyway, I was able to go as low as 42"500.

That tight sector was trickier than I expected!

In a completely stock Toyota TS030 (even without an oil change, that's just 529 BHP) on RH tires, and with just basic changes to suspension and downforce, I can lap at 1:03.6.

On RS, I can get in the high 1:02 region.

With an oil change, it wouldn't be impossible to get under a minute.

These people who are using 1000HP and stage 3 turbos + oil change to get a 59.xxx really need to look at a better setup, not just power. :(

Just for giggles I tried a couple of laps in my Audi R8, a very low 1:01 on my second lap and I drove it really badly, even went off in the dirt once. With a few laps of practice under 1 minute should not be an issue.

I spend about 15-20 minutes testing setups before doing the 0:57 with the toyota. Maximum downforce, optimal gear ratios, adjusted brakes and LSD, and a suspension setting to be fast in the fast corners.
With stock settings this car is an absolute pig to drive. Horrible. A good setup is 100% necessary to do a good lap time.

It's got around 1150 HP and about 700kg btw. Lol. 757PP

Sorry I didn't know this was a competition thread. I just wanted to share my experience. I did put a stage 2 turbo, didn't change oil and I spent some time for a better setup too.;)

Who told you that we only increased the power without tweaking the setup ? Stop assuming things.

I, for one, would really like to see oil change improving lap time by 2 seconds. I suspect it is only worth 0.2-0.5 seconds in a minute lap optimistically.

I'm impressed by people doing it under 1 minute and superly shockingly impressed about the 1:00.000. You are the BOSSS!!! That is just way too awesome!

Well, they didn't say you couldn't use a turbo or push it to 1000 HP. Besides, I tried doing this with all the prototypes stock and even with purely oil change, setups and some gears, none of them can do below one minute (fastest was the Nissan R92CP with 1'00.000 flat).

A lot of us 97T nuts can do 40s there with no aids. I imagine we would be two or three seconds slower on racing hards. That is also online with tire wear on...so you can probably get close to 40 flat offline in a 97T with a solid setup and driver. I think we were doing mid 40s at big willow and 40 flats at the other willow course.

Did you not read the OP? It says NO F1 cars...

Yeah, it did. All I'm saying is it's possible in F1 cars, I didn't post any times for them. Calm down.

Anyway, got the Chap's time down to a 1:03.8 but I can't get it any lower.

Don't understand why you're asking me to calm down? All I said was acknowledge the OP. I'm sorry if you got upset at all over this.

Sorry, dude. Guess I missed that and didn't think you would pop your cork over it. My bad.
I was just asking a question, god... Was not intended to stress people out. In my opinion, the reason why it says no F1/X1s in the OP is the fact that its quite obvious that they could get under a minute. I'm not raging at you for posting what you did, that's fine. I am just sticking to what it says in the OP, that's all. Hope you understand...

You're not even the OP. I probably didn't notice, because there are several other people who have mentioned F1/FGT/Redbulls and you didn't say anything to them. Don't take the internet so seriously. Notice how I also don't respond in capital, bolded letters? Take care.

Never said I was the OP. I was only flicking through and saw his post and then replied, I didn't read every single post. Also, I don't understand how repeating what it said in the OP is 'taking the internet seriously'? Anyway I only made a post to remind people, not for yourself to keep going on about it. Lets just end it here, like mature human beings.

While Im waiting for the maintenance to end, I tried with the Chap, I managed to do a 59.6 :) with some extreme suspension setup.
This car, although it has an insane amount of grip, and lots of power, it tends to understeer and this track is not ideal for it because its quite twisty, lots of corners and few straights.
