I hate the modern skin. It's way too large!

Edit: Just realized Winamp 5 supports Winshade mode. Modern skin now rocks!

Wow I didnt know the modern skin could do that. I've been using MMD3 on winamp5 to get it like that.
Yeah, next to the close button there is a little button with two lines. Hit that to switch to Winshade mode.

Actually I think it really is a mix of 2 and 3? I found it and d/led it... it's pretty cool, I can still tell it uses a little more resources than 2 though.

Yes, it has the don't-use-many-resourcesness of Winamp 2 and the aesthetics of Winamp 3.

I think this thread you'd be renamed to Winamp 5 Discussion or something along those lines...

I dislike Winamp in every conceivable way, except the internet radio station plug-in, which doesn't even work for 3, non the less 5. Instead I use CoolPlayer. Nice and small, plenty of skins(This is a nice site for skins), and doesnÂ’t use nearly as many system resources. Heh, last time I checked it was using 2 megs of ram.
It doesnÂ’t show up in your taskbar, instead there is a nice little icon in the system tray. You click it to open the main window. I just downloaded like 15 skins. 15 nice, sleek skins, mind you.

I think some of you might like it. I believe it only supports MP3 and WAV, but it does have an advanced playlist editor as well as support for Internet streaming. In addition, it includes an ID3 Multi-tagger, a File Renamer, a fast mp3->wav converter, an 8-band equalizer and more.

Have fun!

Hmm.. I've never had any troubles at all getting internet radio to work.. Neither by saving links on the desktop nor by going through Shoutcast...

What the?? Winamp 5?! How in the world.. :odd:

I just HAD to go and lose my 5+ gigs of mp3's too.. This sucks. Hard.
