Windows Longhorn Beta

Aparantely, Windows Foghorn.... will use quite alot of 3D resources for fancy little GUI thingies. Microsoft have asked computer vendors eg. Dell to include high performace cards to compensate.

I bet they'll include an option to disable it just like in XP. Besides, it won't be released for 2+ years apparently. I'm sure system then will be able to handle it.

Certainly beable to handle it at the rate technology is improving in performance. - A Geforce 2 GTS Pro used to cost around US$500 now they are worth peanuts.

So, running Messenger, Media Player and DirectX Diag is going to take up 528MB RAM is it? Great!

Good thing I don't use Messenger or Media Player. I even went through some complex proces of uninstalling Messenger because I hated it so much.

Only if Media Player isn't actually playing. If it IS playing though :irked:

Maybe Microsoft will incorporate their 64-bit code into Longhorn? Hmmm.

I thought there was meant to be a version of XP that supports 64 bit code?

Oh well, I doubt I will use it seeing as I still use 2000 and refuse to move to XP.

Urge to Linux Risng....

Urge to buy Linux for dummies rising.......... :D

That's suppose to be Longhorn? Looks to me it'll just be WinXP SE Professional

HAHAHA!!! Look at Picture 1! Looks like after March 25th Microsoft will have to buy it!
