they are correct.....i cant believe ive actually put up w/ it this long...but as soon as i can, im backin up every program i can, formatting the drive, and starting fresh w/ 2000 or XP.....ME is horrible
yeah...my dads got XP on his laptop and some of the SAME programs ive got on my computer that are on his, installed from the SAME disks, give me tons of problems, and he has no problems on his computer. Example. Ive got norton systemworks 2002 on here, well HAD. First of all, it could NEVER install liveupdate on my system for some reason, and it installed fine on 2 other systems from the same disk, on his xp and even an old desktop he has running 98. Then recently the antivirus program just up and disappeared....into thin computer air....i reinstalled it, and a week later....gone, again. But the rest of the norton utilities worked fine...until recently, when now i even get an error message w/ those and it doesnt work anymore, even after uninstalling and reinstalling it. And thats just one program. Also i dont even know how much free space i have left anymore.....i used to think i had about 3 gigs left...until it started goin up....4, 5, 6....i wasnt deleting anything....norton diskdoctor used to give me a message saying the drive may be reporting the free space incorrectly and USUALLY fixed it, but it stopped even doing that now....so now it says 9 gigs of free space....so i could have as little as 3 gigs left, or as much as 9! haha....god i cant wait to finally put this thing out its misery
