XP Pro lets you run dual processor systems and I think it lets you do more stuff having to do with networking.

I"m runnin windows XP pro....my brother is (was) on my comp constantly so the restore feature comes in handy when he screws something up.. becuase I changed my password and now he cant get in :P

The only thing XP Pro would com in handy for would be to run Microsoft's Personal Web Server. Stupid thing doesn't work on XP Home.

That is correct. The Home addition will not let you assign your machine to a Network Domain for athentication. Peer-to-peer and DHCP with no authentications are the only networks that the Home users can utilize. This is a bad thing if you have a remote server, or even a server on the same network and you need certain protocals and authentications in order to run applications, and access files off of the server.
