Wishes for B-Spec Mode

Hi guys,

now, with rumors coursing around that B-Spec might make a return in Gran Turismo 7, I would like to list up what I hope for regarding the B-Spec mode.

  • I hope we get something like the B-Spec progression from Gran Turismo 5, in which we can hire multiple drivers and level them up independently, which increases their pace, physical strength and mental strength. Unlike said mode, there should not be a Career bar, in which the driver starts regressing once the bar is full.
  • Another thing that I hope will be possible is if we can give our drivers any name we want and don't have to reroll for a specific name. I know it sounds like an unnecessary complaint, but if you can enter the name you want from the get go just like we can enter any in-game nickname we want, it would save a lot of time. Also, from looking at making a custom grid for custom races, it's 100% possible to give a driver any name and nationality, so I don't see this being impossible.
  • Managing your drivers in the race itself should also work like in Gran Turismo 5, keeping the stress level of your driver in check and tell them to overtake and pit when the time is right.
  • And like I said earlier, they should gain experience with every race, just like Gran Turismo 5, and level up. Of course, the amount of gained XP should depend on the duration of the race. The longer the race, the higher the XP gain, and finishing position also plays a decisive role in this. When it comes to max level, in which all stats are maxed, let's make it 50.
I know, it's a lot of stuff from Gran Turismo 5, but that's because that game had the best B-Spec experience, and I would be thrilled if we get something like that again. It would also make the game less grindy, as you can then mix things up by doing a race yourself and then having your B-Spec driver do another one, kinda leveling your driver alongside playing A-Spec. And if your driver has an orange condition arrow, let them rest a little bit, play A-Spec or level up a different driver. Again, it mixes the game up, which makes it a lot more fun this way.

Let's hope that Polyphony will add this to the game with the new update. I know I'm a bit late, but these are just hopes and wishes, not requests.

Let's hope for the best.

Can I ask a genuine question: what is the attraction of B-Spec? I play GT for the experience of driving special cars myself. I have never really got the idea of B-Spec and found it a bit boring.
Please don't think I am being a troll, I would appreciate your take on why it's fun.

I prefer driving for sure, but it's enjoyable to search a good strategy for winning and usefull for long races.
But it's definitly pointless without endurance races.

I'm the same. I never understood the attraction of watching the game play itself. I get that people do enjoy it, but it's not something I've been wishing to come back.

I also want B-spec even if several other added options would be much more welcome, the issue with B-spec in GT7 is that it would reduce or cancel the effect of the microtransactions unless there's a B-spec mode that only increases experience points and B-spec driver skills. Would anyone play B-spec mode if no credits can be gained in B-spec mode??
