Have you learned from your mistakes yet?

I don't care how much money's on offer, complaining, arguing, and making trouble isn't worth it. You guys took the fun out of it, for me.

We were having fun.

I honestly think you wouldn't let yourself have fun.

Something for you guys to think about for ITCC Season 3 if you're into hybriding. If you're not, ignore everything you are about to read at your own peril.

Hybriding opens up the possibility of truer spec racing in a couple of ways. So long as the dimensions are close, one car can fit onto another chassis, meaning you might only have 2 or 3 chassis on the grid with 8 or 10 bodies. It might be possible, but I think unlikely, you could narrow it down to one chassis, depending on the number of different bodies you want on the grid. Limit it to say 3 or 4 and it might be doable.

You can also easily swap engines, so if you want to take away differences in engine performance but keep the chassis all different, you can introduce a "spec" engine and have everyone use it. Quite easy to spec one engine and look for anomolies in performance to catch cheaters, than it is to do 10.

You can also swap drivetrains, so if you want to make that favourite Civic of yours a RWD, or every car on the grid RWD, that's possible too.

Imagine an entire grid, all with the same race car motor, all tuned to say 300 HP, all different body styles, 2 or 3 different chassis, all RWD.

This would eliminate a lot of the problems associated with trying to homologate many different engine/chassis combinations at various tracks and the ensuing arguments about who had what advantage and why one person won and the other didn't.

This is something all race series will have to take into account going forward. There's nothing to stop someone from showing up in Season 3 with a car that looks like a Civic on the outside, but has a Spoon Civic chassis underneath and there is no way you'll be able to tell. The way I see it, you can either get ahead of the game, anticipate this and find solutions for it and work with it, or end up with another cluster:censored: for Season 3.

A grid full of these for example would be awfully purty:

VW GOLF IV GTI RM TwinCharger 4WD from Golf R32
( LSD + Locked Torque Split 30/70-not shown on tuning setting - accessible only via RA menu)
8 Speed 280+PS base tune - full power 350+PS : perfect for one make league racing

That's kinda what happens when cash is on the line tbh.

I guarantee people wouldn't have been as aggressive if there wasn't money on the line. Grand Valley onward especially so.

Yea, but we kinda need to move on.

Johnny, that's a nice idea, but I don't think we're (Cnd and I) are doing another season of this. If anything we'll do a 4 car touring car series with racecars.

I think that idea would be cool in Lancer's ITCC. That series used cars like that.

Cnd and I are just finishing this season of this just for the sake of not ending half way.

I can't connect. My connection won't allow me to race today. If you guys can run the race, go ahead. I won't make it this Saturday.
