The Wikipedia entry on the Womens Professional Football League (WPFL) states that the Houston Energy are three-time champions winning the title three years straight between 2000 and 2002. 2002... that's funny. That's the inaugural year of the Houston Texans franchise in the NFL. The recent reigning champions are the Dallas Diamonds who have beaten the Northern Ice and New York Dazzles in championship games.
So girls can play in bowl games with the best of them. None of this nonwithstanding with Katie Hnida's successes in Division 1-A college football. So what do you think of this WPFL deal?
