Woodward Dream Cruise 2011: Cruise Day (56k Warning, Many Pics)

It's Dream Cruise time again and Woodward is jumping like I've never seen it before, there are a ton of people and cars out and about all over the place. I went and hung out between 14 and 15 Mile Rd. Wednesday night and between my buddy and I, we shot a ton of pictures. Here's just a selection of the stuff we shot.

I plan on heading back down there tonight and all day tomorrow so expect many more pictures come Sunday at some point.

A friend from work went down in his 80's Shelby GT350, white with red stripes. Originally it was the rare 4 banger turbo, but after that engine blew, it got a beefed up 5.0 and has beaten the new Shelby GT500 off the line.

That would be a Chrysler Newport sporting a 1970 Chrysler 300 grille. Even more rare than a Charger because the fuselage-bodied Chryslers seem to have all but disappeared

So yesterday I was down on Woodward from about 9am till it started to rain around 5pm. I was cruising with my buddy in his Firebird Formula, with the T-tops off, it was really nice and I saw a ton of cars. Sorry I don't have more pictures but I got to the point where I didn't want to photograph another Chevelle or Camaro.

I also want to add, I have never seen so many Corvette's in one place. It had to be like 10% Corvettes (i have no idea, really) on the road and in parking lots. Not a bad thing because I LOVE Corvettes

Also, the 53 Skylark is probsbly the rarest car you're ever photographed. Amazing.

Thanks for sharing all the great pics. I live a couple hours away but I havent been to Woodward since 2005. Its always a lot of fun down there and just overhwhelming the amount of cars.
