Thats a pic of the engine bay + my gab strutbrace and new X Brace, I should have taken a better pic so you can see where the turbo is but I didn't so there. Also my engine came with a mad jdm TRD oilcap, i'm sure TRD spent years developing it over the standard item i'm sure and I bet it's totally not just a complete waste of money not that I care anyway. Also note the VTA bov which i'll change back to the oe recirc one as soon as possible, the current one is waaay too much of a ricer call.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Apparently MistaX gets off on pictures of peoples feet stuck in exaust pipes so this ones for you man.

Also here is a crappy video that youtube decided to reject uploading so i had to put it on gogle video instead.

The exaust isn't actually that noisy, it's rumbly enough but not much different noise levels from stock at say 70mph. Cruising about at low speeds it's pretty quiet for an aftermarket unit. Should be able to make a bundle on it if I wanna sell it because it's a pretty rare exaust made by Japanese mr2 specialists phoenix's power.

Also god damn is this thing quick, the low end isn't as good as the n/a but everything else is fffffffffffuast. I havent been to hard on it, a couple of wot pulls on the motorway to 70mph, as i'm a big wuss and I realy feel like I could get in some serious trouble with this car on the road hooning.

I had a few other mods done as well, added a set of TRD antirollbars or swaybars if your a dumb idiot called keef. Also a set of braided brake hoses and some nice new brake fluid.

Hey, Brett got a fancy new engine! Woo!

The exhaust sounds awesome, btw, so I don't know why you're bitching that it's quiet. It idles louder than my car, and my car idles loud.

I call them antiroll bars, Idiot. Not "ARBs" like you. But I'm beginning to get the hang of this dumb acronym thing. Sway bars or for rednecks.

You > Azureman.
I wouldn't say that out loud, Omnis. Cody's cars might spray explosive oversteer all over you.

WHATEVER look i'm too lazy to type Anti Roll Bars ok god. You thought ARB stood for Anti rock brakes.

Cody will say 'OMG U NEED ALL THAT POWER CUZ UR CAR IS SO HEAVY LOL' well I guess he will.

Oh and whoops I made a typo, I meant to say the exaust was pretty quiet for what it is, it's not hella loud like a Blitz Nur spec, Buddy Club, Apexi N1 etc etc.

You do need all that power because your car is heavy. That's why I beat any Volkswagen with a 1.8 and a turbo.

I call anti-roll bars ARRRR BARRRRRRRRS.

You know, like a pirate.

Get videos of you drifting or something.

And get it dynoed.

Now.

If I wanted a drift car I would have sold the deuce and spent the difference on importing an ae86. Besides the fact that the sw20 isn't that great at drifting due to the engine layout and chassis design.

What I still want to do is take some driving tuition with these guys then start doing some trackdays and hopefully take a trip to the ring with my Bro's vr6 and my friends insane 68 beetle.

It's not getting dynoed untill I can afford an aftermarket ems with a map sensor and a few other bit's like a bigger sidemount ic, ATS CT27 hybrid turbo or CT20 hybrid, hks steel HG and a boost controller solenoid. Then i'll get it dynoed.

For the moment I dont want to mess with the engine and just get used to the power and learn how to drive the damn thing correctly still.

God yes it will... like a horribly drunk chick projectile vomits. All over his face.

Well, duh, it is. Its like the super heaviest of super heavy MR2s. Thus, is = Fail boat, period.

Nice though man, just took its sweet time getting back to you.

And about the drifting.. yeah, these things are a PAIN to drift nicely. They like to slide a bit, but anything beyond a 90 degree over all turn is just asking to spin out and fail. Epically.

Nice one Brett 👍

Didn't get any word on that AP engineering Apexi PFC?

The guy wanted pretty much the price of a brand new non AP Engineering PFC and he was taking about a week to respond to messages so I was like whatever. I think i'll just convert it to a gen 3 (adds a map sensor, iat sensor, diff ign coil and a few other bits) and then just use the standard mr2 PFC.

Wow nice car. I love those cars don't know much about them tho. A guy here a NOVA has a black one with some nice wheels. Real clean looking car but I've never seen the owner just the car or I woulda bothered him left and right about what is done to it. lol

BRETT THAT IS A LAME EXCUSE FOR A SPOILER ON AN MR2!!!! AND YOU WANT BIG AIR INTAKES ON TEH ROOF!!?!?!?!!!

Oh, but don't paint it blue and had LED rear lights. There's a nub in college (don't know if he's actually enrolled) that drives round all day in his looking like a nub.

Anywayyyyy, sounding nice 👍

*is jealous of 3S-GTE. only has 4A-C.*

Wanna trade?

Naw, seriously, It's looking good. Should be a fun one, even when it makes a fool out of you when you get a little too eager with the fun pedal.

Why would you do that you have an MR2 i take it? MR2s are very driftable, and a corolla is just too overdone. Plus there are alot of other options, RX7, 240SX/Silvia, even older BMW 3 series make a good platform.

But i stray from the topic. The engine looks clean and its always nice to have boost, how many lbs of boost are you running?

Nahh brah MK1.5's are hella played out, the new hotness is a 1MZFE AW11.

You know it makes sense.

srsly brah? 's not heavy as a tank like your MKII's ya know. Thats where those torquey V6's belong.

Yeah- genIII's in MKI's are played out. genII's in MKII's are stock!
and besides the sound VTA bov's are no good for the afr on afm engines!

But your MKII is clean, and it looks like a good install. Congrats!

No I know about the afm + vta bov thing as the fueling is controlled by the afm and the bov will take away unmetered air causing the ecu to overfuel. There allright on a gen3 seeing as it's measured via map sensor then. I've just got to somehow find a new oem bpv, either that or get the dumb HKS SSQV and get the recirc kit for it.

On another note theres another AP engeneering PFC available for £500 god damnit. I don't need it now but tbh it's gonna be something pretty useful down the line and the fact that the it's hard enough getting the gen3 version pfc nowdays let alone the ap engeneering one i'm tempted to snap it up.

It's either that or the link ems which actually has it's own built in map sensor. Although you yanks use the aem ems a fair bit but nobody maps those here.

Eh I don't even need an ems untill I start adding bits to the car.

I tell you what else has sped up since the conversion, the fuelgauge.
