Mani the Lotus tuned is quickest then clio, california and nsx. Clio is probably easiest of those to drive so give it another try with different settings, can't help you though. 350Z is also good and easy to drive but much slower than those 4.

Had some fun races last night in the 350Z. Great car, I was saying it felt like easy mode after the nsx! Got a clean lap in freerun of 2m00.688. T1 52.645, T2 1m37.405. There's not much left for me in that car, was a bit slow mid esses and 130R was a bit conservative. Nice and flat through dunlop though and pretty tidy everywhere else 👍

Good call Solarrrrrr. I did a 2'01.3 after a 10 lap race and then some practice laps. Another .5 will fall off soon :)

2'00.9s is very possible. I did 2'01.080 in free run last night with 700PP man. Ghost replay saved this time. I was out running this ghost easily by .2s in the first sector but everytime I come out of the hairpin, it gains on me. I think that if I take the hairpin and the last two turns correctly 00.8s is possible.

Great lap i-Plume!!!! My best T1 time is also 52.6s, but T2 my best is only 37.7s. I can't seem to keep it all together for the whole entire lap man. 130R, the fastest I've taken it is at 144 mph. That's going on edge of loosing her though...lol Nice one me friend..!👍

Nice lap, Just got a 2:01.8 today without slip stream using the control pad. I have been stuggling to break the 2:02s for some time. Looking at your lap I can see the areas where I am loosing time. I am driving with the Clio, and I think in certain areas I am way too cautious. Next time I am out I will try to attack a little more, and not be affraid to open the throttle and carry a slide, while also braking deeper into turns. I just could not figure how the Aliens do it, but I can see now.

Are you using a wheel?

PS

What is the all time best lap for 700pp Suzuka?

Pappaclart yeah I use a G27 wheel. I wouldn't try doing these braking or lines in the clio though its probably completely different in that car. Clio has a lot more acceleration and top speed but a bit less grip.

Did a few practice laps before a race last night and actually improved this time a bit. It seems I hit the limiter coming out the hairpin as well so in total I think there's another easy quarter of a second and then things will start getting hard.

Absolutley true. Thing is, I have kinda got myself too familiar with a safe way of driving in order to pull off consistent 2:02's without risking a crash. I kinda have bad habits of taking things a little conservative. I am sure with a little more aggression I can get myself in 2:00 flat.

Great lap! This is probably a silly question but how come at the beginning of the replay it says 'Time Trial' when the lap was done in Free Run? Predictably I cannot get anywhere near that time unless using standard physics!

Anybody eles experiencing lagg? Sorry oldnail but i was about 2 car lengths behind you going up too the hairpin and next thing it looks like i hit you.

That's me finished today. Can't be bothered with it (lagg).

No problems, that race was indeed very laggy, better now though with some great racing going on at the moment. I-Plume you are way too fast! Was running with 696PP with low wing setting earlier because I thought it was agreed that this was ok when using the Amuse 350Z. Has this now changed? I notice everyone is now using 700PP so have changed to 700PP now.

I don't mind about the PP I was just surprised anyone would go for a low wing option when it costs PP. About the replay, the file name says freerun but all my replays say time trial at the start. Are yours different?

For what it's worth, I thought I'd post my 350Z tune. Once again, it's a TwistyTune in that I still believe PD has the spring rates reversed. This car seems a little challenging to get to rotate, but this tune seems manage it, and feels especially good through T1/T2, IMHO. :) Ya, know, I think this thing's got gription!!

Nissan 350Z/Tuned: Suzuka 700PP

HP: 447

Very nice tune TwistyBits, thanks for sharing. Somehow it works :dopey:. This car feels great through the esses. Managing consistent sub 52.7 splits at T1, and overall best of 2'00.787, but a .5 is possible. However I am using different gear ratios.

Also, thanks to i-Plume for the races tonight. :)

@ GTP_Rutter200, GTP_oldnail1 and i-Plume,

Thanks for the races yesterday. 👍

When I can find some more spare time I'm going to work on my gearing as I'm clearly slower on the straights than you guys, although my lines through the esses are still not as they should be, but that's just down to me and has nothing to do with the car.

Currently on 2:01.3's (free run)

Rutter: Sorry for shutting the door on you at the hairpin. I didn't see you till I was turning in. Time for a brighter colored car. :)

big thanks for sharing your tune! The springs and damper is settings are really great 👍

I did however use my own ride height, camber and brake balance and gear ratio!

I'm running at 698PP due to my rear aero being at 12, makes the car more stable for me at corner entry 👍

Managed a 2'00.4 something in race leading!

working in free run to break the my 2'00.8**.

What do you guys think if we do a Nissan Skyline Coupe vs 350Z event?

Chris

Did my personal best in the 350Z . 2.00.877

Chris 👍

Great time Christhedude:tup:. Did my best lap here two days ago aswell. 2'00.968. There's more left in her for sure.

Skyline coupe are quite a bit faster man, but we can do the handicap thing like the El_Zs idea on Suzuka 550 RX8 vs Clio. That something to look forward to.

LOL :D ya same happened to me, i entered once at 53 and at 23 and there was literally no one there, so i said , you know what, lemme have some fun in the Amuse and the main event and BAM full grids! hoping to see that tomorrow again!

Chris

Need to get on later, hopefully you guys will still be around. I've not touch this car in about four days though.

This event runs all day everyday? I have entered at :53 and :23 a few times and haven't seen a Z yet. I guess its just hit or miss on meeting up with people that read these forums?

I'm just 1 sec off my best time with this Z. I like this car, nice handling. It feels more in control than the California, smoother driving. :)

BAHHH I PUT THIS POST IN THE WRONG PLACE >.<
How do I delete my post?

Hi guys, long time no race :)

I have been away for a bit, but I have also been reading how much fun you all have been having with the Z, so yesterday I went to the bank, and then down to the dealership and bought one of my own. :D

I tried the :23 :53 schedule and it was a ghost town.

bodie-california-ghost-town-gold-mining.jpg

Then I tried the regular :00 :30 schedule and it was mayhem!

25-diva-battle.jpeg

Spyrrari, was that you with the pink scarf? I didn't know you were a wrestler!

I had a few disconnects and finally one fantastic race with Dapper, thank you sir

I think I will stick with the :00 :30 schedule, as it offers a better chance of finding somebody to race, even if they are not in a Z. Twisty, I settled on your tune, with the Clacksman/R1600 tune as a close second. Thank you very much, she is a joy to drive

Below is my best lap, also on GTDB.net. I hope to see some more Zs out there this weekend! :dopey:
